Next we have the fact that Metal has always been better than rock or hard rock, I'm not gonna argue. Lastly, their writing just shit itself after this album. I hated Load, Reload, Death Magnetic, and especially Saint Anger. It's literally as though someone is shitting in my ears. Just a thrash-biased cultist's opinion.

@jbposerslayer Death Magnetic was the best thing Metallica put out since this album by far! It has thrash songs on it which is more than load, re-load, and st.anger can say. My Apocalypse is a better song then half this album. Also the album has solid solo's through out which has been missing from metallica's music for some time. I'm not saying it's a great album compared to other bands, but its a step in the right direction for metallica for sure.

@XXblacktoothgrinXX I agree that Death Magnetic was the best thing they've done since this one, and I still think it's a piece of shit. I hated everything on the album except All Nightmare Long (don't ask why), and My Apocalypse made me want to kill myself. Just my opinion. Of the Big Four, Metallica has sadly decreased the most.

I honestly think that this is the BEST Metallica album ever. i love all of their songs, but this is that kind of rock that people enjoy listening to. Not too heavy or too thrashy. And Nothing Else Matters is that good slower song we all love :)
