@late1911 When starting up a new game, you have a 15% chance or so to get a female starter. So you either need to keep trying until you get it or just get a male and move on. Alternatively, you could save time with a cheat device like code breaker or gameshark.

@PhazeeCoil I download the lossless codec exe off of the website, and click it once it's finished on the desktop, clicking install, etc etc and then it should show up when choosing a codec.

@sebatoothtiger if you're using desmume and it goes slow ti's because you have an old processor, for example i have an pentium 4 with hyper threading and it's goes sloooww so i tested it with a dual core and a core 2 duo and it runs faster! but i don't have a dual core, so i must play in "slow mow"

I feel that, if Gear and Voltorb would to have switched places, people would be heralding Gear as more original then Voltorb. Its worth noting that in the original Red and Blue and Green games, there is a girl that says "I hope there is a pink pokemon with flower patterns on it" or ssomething to that effect. That implies that all the pokemon were atleast designed around the same time, and they just picked which ones they wanted to use at the time. They've said as much for Gold and Silver.

@XxXShanesPrincessXxX I liked pokabu the least as well, but it's final evolution feels kinda like "SonGoku." I sorta like it now xP, but I want to pick Mijumaru for the english version in 2011.

I'd evolve Miju once and stay as the second evolution until learning all moves. =)

Also, don't forget you get a certain monkey pokemon depending on which starter you pick. With Pokabu, I got a grass Monkey, Yanappu~

I seem to have save issues when I play on the same emulator. How did you manage to get around that? I can deal with the lag of the emulator but the save is what really has me bothered.

@nightmarev0 I have DeSmuME version 0.9.6 which allows you to save, I am able to load the save file so I'm not sure what's wrong... However, there are the use of save states in the file menu which have helped some people with this problem.

@charmander155 I used to use fraps, but if the emulator DeSmuME itself has a [record avi] function. I use that to record NDS videos using the lossless 1.4 codec. Alternatively, I would also use Camtasia screen recorder if I didn't have the other options.

@LaZodiac The music was indeed great, I rather enjoyed when the remix of the battle music occurred when Mijumaru hit the shitake mushrooms outta me. Luckily, Pokubu is a little faster. I noticed that Pokabu seems balanced, Mijumaru is tough / strong, and Tsutaja is fast. While I do like speed, power is more alluring to me, being able to create mass damage.
