  • This is called a double-hand crossover.

  • I wonder how many times he's hit his fingers doing that...

  • @MrHeitz17 most likely a lot. i hate it when i do that. it hurts like heck

  • Robot Polarbearnopenguin. Please keep quiet. It's Neil Peart. Period. Your name is robot. Sorry haven't heard of you.

  • Easy is for sissies!

  • Robot

  • ive been doing these crossover for many years...I learned them from my early drum instructor who played quads in a marching ban...its a great trick..and he is doing double crossovers..I do them so much it seems to be my main fill now ..on the cymbals as well to end songs! Great drumming here by Neil (as usual)

  • 17 seconds of my life spent

  • The best.

  • i almost shit myself when he did that yesterday in toronto

  • That's one of the rare things i can do like him xD

    HE'S A GOD !!!

  • It looks sped up but the amazing thing is that its not!

  • He is incredible. I have tried this so many times and just can't get the speed.

  • One word will do:

    GOD

  • Fuckin Brutal...

  • Christ, I just came in 17 seconds!!!! NEIL, YOU ROCK MAN!!!!

  • Buddy Rich was one of his inspirations!

  • They are called Crossovers and he makes them look SOOOOO Easy!

  • @Trigger584 Double stroke crossovers I believe

  • @Trigger584 probobly because hes been drumming his entire life.

  • @Trigger584 Whats awesome is that its a combination of single and double crossovers, so its really interesting to see him using the two together, and just be seamless. For that particular move its all about sticking :)

  • Jerry Mercer is awesome too!

  • WAAAAAAHHH! Who cares who can do what! It is about Neil not you guys geezzzz! This is suppose to be entertainment not a pissing match!

  • whooo hooo! goo neil!!!

  • Take that Buddy Rich!!!

  • pwnd

  • omg i dont see how he crosses over soo gooodd niel peart = most amazing drummerrr

  • its called crossovers

  • they are call double hand crossovers... it took me a while to learn and countless times to perfect.

  • oh yes oh wise 1 "double hand". sounds like ur still learnin & no where near perfecting.

  • Your just jealous... In Anatomy of a Drum Solo, Neil Peart states that they are double hand crossovers. They are one of the hardest things to learn on drumming.. So just just shut the hell up... To prove it you I will have a video up by Saturday. I will show the technique that makes it possible and the thing at full speed...

  • Alright, lets just settle this, because this is just ridiculous. I never intended to anger anyone when i commented . I was just fixing what you had said (in a nice way), because there are two different ways of doing cross sticking. There are single- hand-crossovers and double-hand-crossovers. I'm sorry for what your consider to be a "snotty" comment. By the way, i am not a little 7 year old (snot-nose) kid. Im A LOT OLDER then that. Continued below..

  • Continued...

So lets just end this stupid fight, because it is a waste of our time... I will probably not have the video up by the end of sunday, because I am busy on Saturday. By the way... I'd like you see you even try the double-hand-crossovers. Peace Out,

    DerTrommler13

  • Just to let you know my video is up...

  • Neils arma are like a blur ! Awesome technique Mr. peart

  • HOLY SHYEEIT!
