They need to try one more time, 'cause you can't tell me that their song wrting machines in those 2 fantastic heads have gone dry. get the original band (if possible) and hit the road. I know the last time it fizzled. Something went awry. Please L & M, they say 3rd time is the charm. As Larry says, " Git'er done " amigos.
OK. All guys here. You are right. Gumbo hot, now as then. But this video! Cringe-inducing phallic buildings and female flower genitalia?! So, CLOSE YOUR EYES, and gently ask the woman you're with to do so, too. The song has its own video. Between our ears. The rest is up to you. But, God, I love this song...
MAN !!! I can't be the only guy who sat in a bean bag in the 70's with a Doobie and a half bottle of tiquela and had the hair raise up on your neck every time you listened to this cut. It still happens sadly without the D & T.
Jim Messina is one of the most underrated guitar player from the 60s & 70s. Still one of my guitar gods. Thanks for this one, I'm still on vinyl on this album, with a scratch. NMB
was just observatin, but aint it kinda interesting how a hispanic guy and a southern white guy, with a bit of a country twang, created some of the deepest funkiest ,get down on the dance floor, groovin tunage ever recorded..?..i sure am glad they did!! great stuff!!
