I'm a Toon fan, but I think Michael Owen was right to move - he's not capable of starting many games at this point and that suits Man Utd where he's on a pay as you play deal and he's useful backup.

Newcastle were fortunate vs B'burn, but to win away without Tiote, S.Taylor, Cabaye, Ba, Cisse, Marveaux etc is an excellent result. Spurs were v.lucky to beat Sunderland 1-0 a few wks ago, Man C didn't deserve to beat Spurs, Newc outplayed Swansea, but it was 0-0.. You have to win ugly sometimes.

Newcastle had an extremely good/fortunate run for about 7-8 games earlier on and that is all they have to stand on for the rest of the season. I will be surprised if they manage to finish in the top 10.

The league is a marathon, not a sprint, relegation is open for anyone and can't be put down to a penalty, if someone is strong enough, over 38 games, they'll stay up

The relegation rebuilt us as a whole Coloccini was awful in the relegation season, now that he has been in a championship side he has learnt he way football in England is and has improved a lot look at him now- captain and a top notch centre back.
