@threethirteen666 Only if you are carrion, they scavenge, and are also known to take small game. Very Lucky too see them so close, most are only seen through scopes or binoculars. Majestic birds.

whats the difrent with californian condor and the andean condor? cus i have only heard that the andean condor is the largest bird in the world, then the californian must be at the size of a african volture?

Condor is ONLY in peru, then in colombia and Ecuador. THATS A HAWK!!!!

@QuadcamV6 Sorry turbs...the Andean condor is in South America and the California Condor is in Mexico and the U.S. They are as closley related and have a tighter gene pool than Appalachian Americans...very similar species.

hahahaha that would be a pretty big hawk :). the california condor is native to the western US. It is now only found in California, Arizona, and a handful in Baja California, Mex. The Andean Condor is the one in Peru.

The species you're thinking of is the Andean condor.
