What this song is about : The early Apostolic Christians were forced underground, with prices on their heads. The Ichthus or "fish symbol" was used as a secret symbol among them. It is said that one would write upon the ground the first half of the symbol in the presence of someone they believed to also be christian. And if the person filled in the other half, it meant that they would be safe, because they were in the presence of a fellow believer.
