  • forget what i just said are trains have to bet slow because of all of you it call trade we the us is the bread basked of the eart so i got to say one thing zipped it

  • sss.,s. h asahi k..,.'

  • E5&E6(JR東)、N700についで、日本を代表する新幹線車両なのは間違いない。

  • Wish I can Buy that Train! haha

  • Germans designed the body

  • @neotokyomedia I think that everyone knows that Neumeister from Germany did the drawing of the 500 Series Shinkansen, the ICE3 model, one of the Shinkansen Fastech 360 prototype's nose etc...

  • @AF401

You'd be surprised to know how many dont know that fact :P

  • @neotokyomedia lol yeah, I think I went too far... xD

  • @neotokyomedia i dont think so

  • oh japan..

  • The super fast 500系 のぞみ

If only another country gets the W set (16 car config) of this train...

  • BUT this is the fastest shinkansen its 300 km/h

  • nice looking fastest passenger train well all of the shinkansens are like the same speed

  • bam!!!!! this will pwun the us xD just look at try being by that when it going 500 mph

i will be like O_O what just happen

  • Cool, I like it!!

  • technological supository

  • Awesome to ride on. Travelled from Tokyo to Kyoto in 2.5 hrs with stops. Amazingly quiet for the speed it was hitting. Highlight of our trip to Japan. Awesome country. Can't wait to go back in August.

  • malaysians say that their trains can break sound barrier ..

  • @KULATZ01 hurr durr, I'MMA CHARGIN MALAYSA.

  • This 500 Series Shinkansen is the fastest. and best looking train.

the noise abatements keep this train from being faster than the N700.because it can go @ 320 km/h normal service or up to 350 km/h.

  • it seems that the U.S. finally will have high speed trains.

and they will get the shinkansen N700 (dunno where in the US if Orlando - Tampa route or in California sector...) Ironic isn't it.

well, it's a step to improve the system of transportation on all terms

  • This makes Amtrak look shit

  • I find it cool how Trains have a Car wash haha =)

  • i caught this from tokyo to osaka then to hiroshima. quiet and fast as fuck

  • Haha, I rode this a couple of years ago.

It was GREAT! I couldn't feel a thing, and with the blinds shut, I couldn't tell if I was moving or not.

  • snake :)

  • The U.S.A should have the magnetic levitation trains and the 500 Nozomi

  • to bad there in debt LOL

  • The god-damned republican refused it...They love black gold!!!!

  • Too bad this is not the fastest train in the world. It SURE LOOKS like it!

  • Why can't America pull something like this off? I love ACELA and wouldn't want to be without it, but as a developed nation one would think it's a no brainer to expend the energy, money and time required to make high speed trains like this (and infrastructure) a reality.

  • Terrain and our major cities are pretty far spread out.

  • terrain? umm japan???

    spread out? umm europe???

  • Wrong. Because we make driving and flying easy.

  • COOL!!!!!!!

  • Kickass! I can't believe they will be using these in the UK for the 2012 games!!!!!!

  • wtf? i dont even... that theme? why?

why does japanese trains have their own themesongs?

  • pride in their engineering

  • No, the Germans did exterior and interior design. Everything else is Japanese. The manufacturers were Hitachi, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Nippon Sharyo and Kinki Sharyo.

  • loks much better then our swiss trains

  • The Bullet Train!!!

  • clean sleek machine

  • HOT!!!!

  • it's.. so........ beautiful!

  • I promise: When I got enough money i will buy one to save environment

  • 始めあたりの演出がかっこいい!!

  • The US is in a big shit hole as it is. So it doesn't matter anymore.

  • hmm, i'm not sure if that's a good justification for the petro- and private auto-oriented transport system we have in the states. certainly, expanding our mass transit system infrastructure wouldn't hurt.

why does amtrak lose millions of dollars every year? gas is cheap, and we don't like walking.

  • hey! its only twice as fast as the acela! lol

  • but acela runs on old track and it sucks

  • Of course Sir.

However, In Japan, we spent 2~4 million dollars/KM to construct Shinkansen's track.

It's not only for the sake of speeding 300KM/H, but of operating with safety - to avoid collision with car or human.

Can U.S. Federal Govrnment spent vast amount of money only to make construction of track sir?

  • excuse me? Im Japanese and i know the Shinkansen is vastly superior to the Acela train set. I know Trains ok and i like the Shinkansen System

  • in the US... High speed train (at least Acela) + old tracks with crossings = disaster.

even freight trains doing 30 MPH / 50km/h collides with cars and trucks lol

  • they are amazing...

  • damn they wash their trains. Now thats taking pride in your work and appreciating what you have

  • What's that music? Does anybody know?

  • I agree, If you showed an american a shinkansen train he would die of shock

  • 500 series are beautiful, shinkansen is fast safe and effective.stupid americans should learn these technology to bulid fast train

  • the fastest train in japan goes for about 321 miles per hour, but I wouldn't agree on the supid americans part, cuz America does do its share of contribution to this world.

  • the Acela also happens to be built by Bombardier and Alstrom, Canadian and French respectively ;)

if there were city to city expresses outside the NE corridor, then you could say that the US has high speed rail, not so much when it is just that one sector.

  • I think the U.S. wouldn't want a covering highspeed train net similar to the Japanese or the European systems, politically, and economically. But in the past they bought trains from France (Acela?) with technology of the TGV, Germany also took part in the competition with the ICE, but we didn't succeed with it. That's part of what kohwenchieh wanted to say with his comment. The Japanese systems are breaking all well-known limits.

  • Yeah, Sweden took also part of the competition. They did it with the X2000 high-speed tilting train and didn't suceed either lol

  • the US has no need for high speed rail. there are only a few cities on the entire north american continent that are better served by rail than by airplane, and a good number of them are not realistic due to the terrain and weather issues that crop up during winter. japan is the perfect country for high speed rail because it's small and the temperature is overall very stable and almost always above 0 celsius.

  • @itsumonihon: I partially agree. Speaking of the terrain, though, I want to mention that 75 % of Japan are convered by mountain forests.

  • with our government, i dont think there will ever be enough money circulating to make that happen. Trust me! Some of us Americans are smart, but not very many.

  • land is too big

  • They are making one right now....

  • But in my opinion, Uncle SAm are smart but they are too boastful....Automobiles were invented by American....

  • Invented by Germans actually.

  • @cooldit1

yeah, you're right off course! Only some of Americans are smart, but most are not

  • @cooldit1.....We know that, and is shame

  • @cooldit1 The reason that not so many american education systems retarded!!!

The public school teachers are not so good enough to accommondate with today society...

Look at the countries of BRIKS... There are a lot of smart and tough students that they can easily to challenge to North American stduents....

  • hey, when you have 1 to 3 mile long goods trains passing each other everyday at every second...*sigh* i dont know, what do you want us "stupid americans" to do? stop trade, and transportation of goods for a fuckin bullet train? get the fuck outta here man, think, research do somethin else instead of bashing america for not having fast trains all over the place what the fuck.

  • @dd323lover yeah youre very right the beak of kingfishers is just like nose of the 500 series nozomi(hope) and kodama

  • @AlpenSkiSkiE1Snow that shape is called sleek shape

  • @dd323lover AND STUPID FRENCH ALSO

  • @dd323lover yeah you're right i love bullet trains

  • @dd323lover we are makeing fast train just some time dumd ass govment

  • That train is uber cool love to have a ride music is trippy cool intro

  • the train MAGLEV of japan is fasterrrrr 581.07km/h y more technology more than TGV french .....can you see in this web

  • Don't compare Magnetic levitation trains with rail trains. you know why. or no???

  • Cool music~!

  • That train is a beauty!

  • Great music. What is the track called? I think it is by Lily Allen.

  • WOW!! That train is so futuristic, I LOVE japanese technology and it goes to prove that noone can compete with it, the shinkansen 500 is so futuristic to say the technology is 10 years old, i'm gobsmacked about it!

  • stupid frenchs learned from Japanese how to built a fast train

  • Comment removed

  • うきうき

  • SNCF (the company that runs the TGV) has stated in technical manuals that while the service reliability of the TGV is good, it is sill 40x worse than Shinkansen technology. Mainly because the TGV runs on 2 power cars and Shinkansen runs as an EMU with traction motors spread out, increasing train reliability.

  • Les trains françaises sont les meilleures du monde..

  • Totally agree with you. Japanese trains are the best and can't be compared with any other inferior trains. They're just way out of the league of any other trains in the world cos they're unique.

  • This train was built in 1997.

The 500 series Shinkansen retreats active service to the near future. It is lonely.

  • japanese trians are the best
