I see that there are still plenty of people who believe in this psychic bullshit. Us skeptics would believe too if we were given appropriate evidence, gathered in a genuine scientific manner. But my guess would be that believers, no matter what evidence was presented to them, will generally not change their beliefs ... a bit like the religious zealots out there.

You are so incredibly stupid that you can't even spell. First graduate the first grade, then get yourself into a Remedial Writing Class For Dummies so we can understand you. Interesting, my dim witted friend, it's people exactly like you who are the first to put down
anything in the psychic or paranormal field of research. Ever notice that?
@tiffsaver Anyone who "puts down" the "psychic or paranormal field of research" is doing everyone a favor. These two "fields of research" are a complete waste of time. Only a clown like you would think otherwise.
psychics are not liars at least NOT all of them. I could have be the one with the most skepticism of them all, but you will find liars in every trade. i know some people who do not even work for money and are educated and well established.
How the hell do YOU know if someone is "delusional" and "needs psychiatric help"? I mean, what exactly are your professional credentials to make a definitive, dumb ass statement as moronic as that?? Me thinks that old Chuck Norris has kicked you in the head one too many times...
@tiffsaver It's simple really. Blind belief in fantasy is a strong indicator of delusion. In other words, these idiot, mystified believers and believing psychics are not perceiving reality according to its normalized and material manifestation. They therefore need psychatric help to hopefully overcome their delusions. Of course, you're one of those people and also highly paranoid so I imagine you'll rant a bit against this.
How many times do you have to get kicked in the head to realize how stupid you are?
If you can actually read, check out "Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain," then look into the CIA's mulit-million dollar research into psychic spying during their "remote viewing" experiments. Then talk with the Psychic Research Department at UCLA and tell them that they're all "idiot, mystified believers." Once you've done this, come back here so I can kick you in the head again.
@tiffsaver In your case, I'm certain that you were born with your brain defects and intellectual deficiencies. The argument from authority is a logical fallacy; look it up. None of the organizations you've mentioned have ever provided any credible proof of these claims. "Paranormal" research is a complete waste of time; it is pseudoscience of the worst kind.
DID YOU READ THE BOOK I MENTIONED, GOOGLE INFORMATION ON THE CIA'S EXPERIMENTS INTO THE PARANORMAL, OR CALL THE DEPARTMENT HEAD AT UCLA TO CONFIRM MY STATEMENTS, GENIUS??? NO, I DIDN'T THINK SO. IT TAKES THE INTELLIGENCE OF A FIRST GRADER TO TAKE SIMPLE DIRECTIONS. PLEASE, PLEASE, REFRAIN FROM SPEAKING TO ME IN THE FUTURE.
@tiffsaver You're a delsional, clownish loser. Government agencies are well known for falling for bullshit. No "experiments" that any government agency has ever engaged in regarding psychics has ever yielded anything other than an affirmation of the complete waste of time the "paranormal" truly is. Once again, the argument from authority fallacy gets you nowhere. You need actual proof; there is none. You clearly need inpatient mental health treatment.
I have to say that thus far I have to respect Benjamin Radford as an objective skeptic from a (conservative) believer's POV ...
I watched a documentary yesterday on MSNBC documentary about a cold case from the mid 80's where a psychic gave uncanny details pertaining the circumstances surrounding the furure events of the investigatin down to specific details describing the location of the body ...
Benjamin Radford seems to be a cross between Kevin Neilen's "Subliminal Man", Jake Johanson, "Kimball" from "Green Acres", and "Mumbles", from "Dick Tracy"!
I don't care what you believe or not ya prick! Just as Jame Randi sets out to show up the frauds then why dont you get off yer fat junk food eating redneck ass and disprove it. Wanker!
Thank you so much for posting this! Benjamin Radford is one of my favorite skeptics! I also love Skeptical Inquirer which Radford is the managing editor of. Keep up the good work!
Well in that case who cares about your opinion? Theres certainly evidence though its not in inverted commas. There are events that cannot be explained conventionally so why don't you disprove them? Theres loads of them on here. Work away fatboy.
It is illogical to claim that because something can not yet be explained that it is 'supernatural' in origin. This is akin to claiming that thunder and lightning were inspired by 'God' prior to understanding what caused this natural phenomena scientificlly.
I agree to a great extent but there are things that I have personally experienced that I can see no way of explaining them conventionally. When referring to lightening and thunder being sign of the presence of God- you are talking of history, There maybe credence to the theory of energy being stored in the quartz rocks that coincidently are present around the areas that are purported to yield pyschic phenomena and it's like some recording that plays.. I really don't know but thats one theory.
With all due respect, the point being is that "not explainable" does not equate to being "paranormal". There is a valid scientific explanation either we don't yet know or have not yet found but will.
Quite right, but we are not talking about explaining away a normal occurence, hence the term paranormal. I think for the greatest part there are rational explanations (such as fraud) but not for everything. Like I said, I've experienced things that there is no scientific explanantion for and no one will convince me otherwise, since I was there. Up until then I was a hardened skeptic. I don't think any skeptic would be convinced till such a time. I'd prefer to still be a skeptic.
I see that there are still plenty of people who believe in this psychic bullshit. Us skeptics would believe too if we were given appropriate evidence, gathered in a genuine scientific manner.
