  • il giusto abbinare gli strumenti...questa si che è suonare senza tante smancerie....semplice naturale istintivo

    sei il mio idolo jeff

  • Aside from the killer songwriting and performance....what a chill drummer, especially until like 6min even then he's pocket

  • you gave me more to live for, more than you'll ever know

  • omFG! 7:04 7:10 WTF godlyness :)

  • So much energy, so much sensivity, so much Art.

Love to listen and play any Jeff's songs. My favorite artist ever.

  • @rztronic

same here. very challenging stuff to play, much less sing, but then that's part of what makes it such a rush. love it. live it.

  • For some reason I never would have taken Jeff for someone to shave his chest. lol..

  • jefff buckley inspired the fake plastic trees...it's true look it up.

eric clapton said 1% pure 99% bullshit

    True.

  • So what did the audience asked him? Why did he say no at the beggining?

  • no..lol

  • this never ceases to amaze me

  • THE ONLY MUSICIAN THAT CAN MOVE ME TO TEARS WITH MUSIC! SO TALENTED! WE MISS YOU EVERYDAY JEFF AND WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

  • That snare is LOUD, Jeff needed to crank himself up a lil bit more

  • TASTE OF MUSIC IS RELATIVE.....JEFF IS GREAT I KNOW. BUT IS NOT GOD IF THERESA GOD ANYWAYS.....CHEK OUT JOHN FRUSCIANTE TINY DANCER 1990 PINK POP FESTIVAL AND YOU WILL SEE HIS BIG INFLUENCE .(ON MANY OTHER LIKE NINA SIMONE, SRIMIN JAY HAWKINGS,EDITH PIAF,COHEN SMITHS ,COBAIN,,ETC

  • 116 thumbs up for this!! I fear the music industry is dying... along with taste for great music.

There never will be another Jeff Buckley... or a chance for any seriously good artists ever making it in the "music Industy". It's just become commercial krap.

  • @Kristopful Although Jeff was one of the best you'll ever hear, to say that there's no good music or artists out there making it is a bit of a no-no, I'm afraid. You need to broaden your musical horizons dude. No offence meant..

  • @Kristopful if yyou listen to muse the singer of muse, matt blamy, after a while you get the feeling he's taken a LOT FROM JEFF, i mean with the falsetto and all, except matts voice is too precise nearly, where as jeffs was so beautifully rough and ragged and.. gracefull :P

  • LOVE IT!

  • ... what an excellent song. check out the glasto '95 performance of this too! chillingly great! gave me shivers...

  • Jeff you are a loss to us all!!!!!!!

    R.I.P

  • Didn't even know this was played in Chicago. Thanks for putting this on youtube because I thought I seen all the songs from this concert.

  • Jeff looks broken and road-weary in this video. You can feel him pushing every note out. So raw. So good.

  • @mwljazzguitar So Real

  • I want to say "what will you say" to a few people right now...

  • Can someone please tell me wich guitar he's playing ?

  • A rickenbacker. Not sure which model

  • @MrTibonomefixe - he's playing a rickenbacker 360/12 (twelve-string, american model.)

  • he looks sooo good :D

  • Goosebumps....every time. Thank you! I first heard this song on a bootleg from the source and jeez, I never tire of it. Awesome.

  • such a beautiful song

  • One word : Amazing.

  • What an incredibly sorrow rich song.

  • painfully good performance. it oozes passion. perfection.

  • I got the cd/dvd for only 7 smacker-roo's! (English smacker-roo's that is)

  • @sunchild90 I got it for nothing, and its amazing :)

  • I've never heard this song before. Why does he say "no" in the beginning? lol

  • because it's guitar tuning was a bit out and he says "no" in a funny way to the public :)

  • O ok. Lol.

  • who the hell said he's just like a modern leonard cohen?

leonard cohen's lyrics are good, but his voice can't even match up to any good voice I've ever heard i'm sorry. he can't sing. that's reality.

  • who did he wrote this song to His father?

  • Is a long hystory man ... But you should know that Jeff's father, Tim, he was a famous man too ... So just keep that in mynd.

  • if you appreciate inspired, virtuoso guitar players, you will love jeff buckley...my all time favorite!

  • great song, singer ,and band.

  • The absolutely best version of this song you find on Mystery White Boy...

  • No one better than Jeff...thanks for posting...

  • One of the best singers of his generation... like a modern Leonard Cohen

  • Grace Around the World is AWESOME

  • Great version. Nice and clean and clear. Theres that grace around the world out now. Anyone snag that?

  • One of the all time GREATS!!!

  • I love Jeff, I really do, but his voice was off on this night. check the version Live Aus Dem Süedbahnof. It's Intoxicating.

  • This version is definitely better. Jeff holds the notes much longer and has a much smoother resonance throughout the song. They are both good, but this one has that extra emotion and clarity in his voice, especially that first "my face" where he belts it out.

  • Really? he sounds seriously off key at times in this vid. Also the emotion behind the Aus Dem Süedbahnof version is much more potent.

  • Definitely... maybe he has more emotion in the other version, but it construes the sound of the original imo whilst this one is closer to the recording but with the kickass-esness of being live.

  • This song never had an original recording... only the live tapes. He died before he could take it in the studio.

  • They put it on a few compilation cds of his. The version used probably wasn't meant to be the one there, but thats the one they decided was probably closest to what it would've been, imo tho. But i'll admit, the more i listen to the Aus version the more i like it. :-D But... well... thats the same thing that applies to ALL of his songs lol.

  • The Inbreds' version of this was done in a studio

  • Yes...I ended up drunk at a bar in River Falls, WI...when I should have been at First Avenue Minneapolis watching him live in '95...I remember thinking he'll be back this way again...I sooo regret that night!

  • Jeff we miss your music...

  • Woops I was trying to click on the thumbs up thingie but clicked thumbs down - sorry. Agreed - I SO wish I could see Jeff live.

  • I saw Jeff in Memphis,Tn at a dive bar downtown, about 2 months before he died. He played this on acoustic and alot of stuff that was not out yet that would eventually be on Skeches for My Sweetheart The Drunk. I was playing in a metal band at the time and this performance totally changed my perspective on music. I look back almost 13 years later and realize how much of an impact he's still making on me.

  • Im with ya brother, I bought grace about a year and a half ago and before that I was still listening to crap. Jeff buckley opened my eyes to another world of music. A world of beautiful music from the heart. I will be forever changed by his gifts.

  • @enigmafia89 well said .....I couldn't put it better myself and share your every word. pure genius

  • @nolimpimp very nice story, no wonder you've got 36 up votes!

  • @nolimpimp wow you are lucky. i would give anything to have seen him play live or just to be in the same proximity as him. i just discovered him 3 years ago and now i can't live without him. I take him wherever i go. i love listening to him singing all day. the music industry is missing a huge element. he was real talent. music is rubbish today.

  • @nolimpimp Lucky you !!! You saw Jeff in concert, I'm so jealous ! I hope you know how lucky you are :'(

  • @nolimpimp ohhhh you are so happy you saw him and listen him live !!! wish i could listen him live !! he is my hero !!

  • @nolimpimp Ah, Barristers. What band were you playing in?

  • this song was one of jeffs pearls live. sooooo good!!!

  • I'll help you!!

  • The man was a god. I will fight anyone who says otherwise lol

  • @Maedbh ill stand by your side on that one.

  • @Maedbh you have just found one person to fight with, the person who disliked the link loool

  • @BlayMed I will defend the Jeff's godhood!

  • LOVE IT!! I love this DVD

  • my VHS copy actually sounds better than the DVD believe it or not

  • not :D

  • NICE!!!!

  • is there an official DVD for this show? or has it ever been released on CD?

  • yes, the official DVD was released in 2000.
