First of all, they should get rid of knife in both games as no real soldier would EVER kill someone with knife nowadays, not to mention getting on one's back. Go play ArmA II or Operation Flashpoint and go back to CoD after this. You will get the difference

@sociowenohay SIMULATOR means SIMULATING real life. MW does not simulate anything it's just arcade, scripted to the max shooter with pathetic AI which spams enemy at you. It's just kids game and you can see that on servers too. ;)

Try to do such shit on Arma you will get mowned down straight away. If you want game close to simulation try America's Army or ArmA II (until ArmA III comes out, the best milsim around). Trust me, COD and BF are just pathetic arcade shoters which don't even consider

You can't jump through obstacle with full armed soldier, you can't jump into water with loaded backpack or you'll drown. Use logical thinking. Saying CoD is a simulator is like saying Veyron and Mini are same, because both are cars... :/

@buzzerking I am not making assumptions, just thinking logically. You can't take guy with 1 shot in game, usually takes 4-8 bullets to do so (it may be 1 if you hit headshot, not always though), but you get instant kill with knife. That's IMPOSSIBLE. Not any solider would use such tactic, plus you need to get to enemy real close to do so... Like I said, it's impossible in real warfare as such guy would be shot down straight away.

ArmA II is best milsim so far, ArmA III will top it even more.

@info0 Once again, not all warfare is conducted in an open enviroment. I'll be happy as hell if I had a knife if in close quarters. Knives are also good for silent kills if you have the opportunity to do so. If knives aren't a viable option in real warfare then why does the military give them to you? Claiming something is impossible proves to me that you have no credibility when it comes to warfare.

You guys are somewhat pathetic. I enjoy both games. They are DIFFERENT games. MW3's development was broken to some extent due to Activision and Infinity Ward's lawsuit. Also, how much do you expect a damn game to change when it has a set gameplay style, story and art direction? Really? BF3 is the same shit as BFBC2 with better graphics and more game types. Go figure. MW3 didn't have enough time to get a new engine made from scratch. BF3 had 6+ years from the time BF2 was made to get a new one.

I wasn't posting random bullshit. Regardless of the engine talk, BF3 had been in development BEFORE BFBC2. If you didn't catch the hint, the BFBC series was a spinoff to get more time for BF3. Bad Company was the first to use Frostbite and eventually that engine was stocked up to Frostbite 2, a NEW engine, which was used for Battlefield 3. Infinity Ward had no opportunity within the time it had to make a new engine like FB2 with or without the lawsuit which DID hurt the development. Do you even have anything to back up your "quotes"? A few weren't even correct.

No. Bad Company 2 used Frostbite 1.5, and BF3 is using Frostbite 2.0 which in reality is almost a bran new engine, they use the 1.5 to test destruction and lighting, then they used the frostbite foundation to make the 2.0 version. MW3, I don't know what they call their engine (shitfuckasscock?) but it's exactly the same as MW2, and nobody is rushing them to make a game, if the lawsuit really made an impact (which it didn't), extend the development instead of "copy-paste".
