When you defeat the black knight you find out there was no black knight and the wizard girl you travel with in quest to kill the black knight is the bad one and now she has got the power of the sword she is immortal and you have to stop her and at the end sonic gets excaliber the strongest sword in the world and you have to defeat her and if you are good at games you do and its a happy ending for sonic as he turns out to be the ruler of the kingdom.

06 Sonic was better than Black Knight? Blasphemy. The loading times, poor camera and controls, and story were atrocious and soul cringing. The music is always an exception, SEGA never disappoint in the music. His World by Zebrahead is one of all time favorite Sonic tracks, awesome sauce. But on the real, its your opinion; can't knock you for it. SA1 and SA2 are the best in the 3D games, I still do speedruns on my Dreamcast. Sonic CD however is the best Sonic game period. It needs a remake.

Sonic having a sword did not make the game bad. The sword not working correctly is what made the gameplay bad. The concept of Sonic with a sword is cool but it just wasn't done correctly. Secondly use proper grammar so people can understand what you are saying, and third the only bad 3D Sonic games are Secret Rings and Black Knight, and fourth Sonic Team creates the games not Sega, and lastly just because something isn't needed doesn't mean it can't be included if it's cool.

Sonic is specialized and unique because people expect to be able to go as fast as they can, which isn't possible with som eof the latest games that includes these stupid gimmicks. As heathertail said. Sonic is specialised in high speed platforming scenarios. Sonic has worked far better without gimmicks. For gimmicks they did big and gamma in Adventure 1, and tails and knuckles in adventure 2. Sonic never has been about the gimmicks. So it won't help him. Mario usually gets gimmicks. e.g fludd

While it's designed better than those two games, the amount of glitches brings it down a lot. Not to mention the awful story (Secret Rings and Black Knight have those too though :/). I can think of 5 3D Sonic games that are especially good actually: Sonic Adventures 1 & 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations.

Sonic 06 is a much better game than Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic Colors. Most of the glitches can only occur if the player is making them happen on purpose, and the story is not awful. The story is pretty much perfect.

I might be inclined to place it higher than Black Knight, Secret Rings, and Shadow the Hedgehog (guns, really?) for trying to be a true Sonic game, but Colors and the Adventures just happen to be my personal favorite 3D games. I'll be able to properly judge Generations once I've played more of it.

@pkstarstorm1up Meh. Since childhood, I've thought Sonic Adventure 2 is the best game ever made, and I've played Earthbound, for god's sake. You can think what you want, but I think that in 06 Sonic was painfully slow, Shadow was just as bad but made up for it with his epic powers and fighting moves, and Silver was a cool idea, but got repetitive after a couple of levels. In short, I only enjoyed Shadow's levels, where in SA2 I liked them ll except for Aquatic Mine and Mad... something.
