Hypotetically speaking, what can we make out of a Margarito vs Pacquiao fight? let´s say mayweather doesn´t agree to fight because of money/fear, mosley looses to Berto. Pacquiao already beat Cotto and so did Margarito, I think is a viable fight, with lot´s of history behind it. Margarito to revindicate himself, Pacquiao to make even more history. Pacquiao is too small to be fighting a welterweight that huge. No matter how good Pacquiao looked against Cotto I still don't think he should campaign at welter for the rest of his career. Fuck Margarito but there is an old adage in boxing that a small man cant beat a big man - Pac has proved this wrong man times but its only a matter of time if he keeps fighting fools way bigger than him. I think Pac could fight at 140 and not lose for another 5-10 years.

@noon3225, If what you mean by big is height then it does not matter. What matters is the weight. As long as Margarito weighs near that of Pacquiao his height advantage would no longer be a big factor. Consider De La Hoya who stands about 5-10 almost same as Margarito.

The problem is if Pacquiao fights higher division champion like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at Pacquiao's normal weight and Chavez Jr's normal weight. The weight and height difference will give Chavez Jr. the victory.

That would prevent it from happening when money would be taken out from the take out. Mayweather won against Marquez because he breached the weight limit agreement & Marquez allowed it because he accepted the penalty of million dollars. Mayweather would prefer paying rather than losing.
