To be honest, your prosthetic eye looks awesome! I haven't EVER seen a person with one that looks so identical to the other in terms of how well it fits into the socket! And to be able to move it-... If they had you as a friend, the first thing they'd do is tell anyone they introduce you to as "Hi, this is my friend, she has a fake eye, but dont treat her different". Now they will do nothing but think about it all day, trying NOT to do anything weird.
This is as "different" to me as you having fake nails. If you were my friend, I'd forget you had one.

I lost my left eye when I was only 18 months old due to a surgery gone wrong...and throughout the years of growing up (mainly just school years) was always a target to get picked on because of my eye. The really cool thing to think about is, one day we will be able to go to the doctors office and get a prosthetic eye that would be able to really see just as well as you did or maybe even better. Or even better be able to get a real new eye. I have Albinism, and my eyes didn't develop quite right.

I've seen a lot of videos concerning prosthetic eyes in the last couple of days, and it had me asking myself, were I to lose an eye, would I wear a prosthetic?
I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't. An empty socket looks less scary to me because it doesn't stare ahead motionlessly with an awkward pupil size.
I don't know what caused this, and don't even want to know because its God's wish, But one thing i know is "God made you beautiful no matter what you are lacking"

I had my first eye made almost 20 yrs ago. I've had 3 others made since and none fit as good as the first. The first guy poured an epoxy mold that made the back of the eye fit perfectly with the meat in my eye hole. The others didn't. Hoping to get a good fit again soon. @christianrockz08 i had to get one when i was 23 and they said that the infection rate is high in young adults so i didn't get it well it's been about ten years and my body decieded that it didn't want the implant anymore so they had to do a dermisfat graft so now i don't have an implant anymore and they switched to titanium pegs since then and my doc told me that there still having problems with infections so if u have good insurance and aren't afraid of surgery go for it, other wise i say no.
even if im 34 years old? is that a high infection age? i might not even get it since im acually pretty happy with the movement of mine. I guess my eye muscles are strong. also since i got the eye out and the fake eye from a great docter in beverly hills, I guess you get what you pay for.
i'm 34 also and i had my implant for 9 yrs before my body rejected it, if u got it from a good doc then he should probably make the call, my has horrible bed side manners but he's good so i went with his advice the first time of not getting the peg and my body still ended up rejecting the implant without the peg, it's a 50/50 i didn't care if it moved fine with the other i took to bullets to the face at point blank and the doctors all said that i had won the lottery that day !

i have 2 eyes in rotation and one has diamonds in it for going out ! and i have 2 old ones, i just got my 2 new ones a month ago and surgery was in august, doc advised me to not even put an implant in so i don't even have the option of the peg now, he said he would do it if i wanted but there would be a decent chance i would be back for more surgery, either way good luck i hope it work's for you if you do it !

If you look up the show "How It's Made" and prosthetic eye, they had a segment showing on being made. I watched with my mouth hanging open, it was so amazing

when it was the detatchment my eye was filled with blood, and also it was dialated constantly due to drops I had to put in my eye

@VocabSmash dont know why been honest i was 2 at the start but then i said to my self i only have 1 life who the fuck is gonna no me in 100 years just get on wi it only on eye if you look at people on this with no arms or legs or wheelchairs etc you will think youreself lucky ...and if this dosent work and you still dont want 2 show it would you not just close it and it will just look like you got a dig or fell or somethin

not sure,...bluish green, my eyes are normally blue, but ever since I had my eye removed my eye has kinda been more green so she made my prosthetic green

@myeyedeleon I read on your page that you had your eye removed due to the pain, only to find that cancer was present within it the whole time. That's really something else!
I went to the hospital because of some severe abdominal pains a few years ago, and I was told that the actual problem was appendicitis. I was mere hours from the threat of my appendix bursting.
