what is a good source of protein for veggies? i lasted a year but needed the chicken and aim to get off meat by january for good but could do with some informed direction.
@jmccaf Im a vegan and i weight train and build muscle, I get alot of my protein from soy, wheat, legumes, tree nuts and plant based protien suppliments.all your veggies do have protien but its low under 5 grams of protein per serving, but its plenty enough to sustain your health and normal body size. I take in more protein on my vegan diet, then I ever have on my old normal american meat filled diet. Ive lost 110lbs in the past 5 months and this diet saved my life from everything.

Within one week of going on a plant-based diet (ala Dr. Furhman and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn) I was completely pain-free (for the first time in years!!) of the arthritis in my knees. I wish someone had told me about this years ago.

@jmccaf Beans, tofu, legumes, tempeh, seitan, nuts and seeds are good sources, as well as every vegetable, fruit, and grain you can find. Good luck!
