  • a set of those swiss bearings can cost over $250USD.

  • they stop by doing parallel slide and a modification of soul slide. only total noobs need brakes on their skates to stop

  • @rashant2000 or walls...

  • This is got my name all over it. Now I just need a pair of beater skates to powerslide and drift in. With gear on, I'm fearless about downhill. I have to try this.

  • @DangerManXX beater inline skates? you need speed skates. prepare to shell out around 2-300 bucks for even a medium grade pair capable of doing that. I just ordered mine today! :))))))))))))))))))) Fat guy smile lol

  • i tried this on a steep hill and got knocked out temperorley cause i lost my control. yesterday 4th 2010 march

  • how they stop >.>

  • in numbers, this sport should be called ass-wachting, --> 4:11

  • ass sniffer too

  • lol le chasse neige trop dégueulasse avant je sais plus quel virage XD et les vieux passages en mode je freine en T a 30 KM/H ^^

Sinon jolie vidéo, de beaux shuss.

  • great video

  • Video starts at 1:08

The skaters are incredible. Doing it in traffic and tricks liking going backwards on those inclines is nuts to me. I like going down hills but even with the gear I think I would have to bow out of his one.. Seems more advanced then the street luge courses skaters used to take too year ago.

  • seeing is believing... post a vid!

  • hehehe funny guy :)

  • C'est qoi ces gens pff

    Juste des dangers public

  • Super! Thisss is Skating!!

  • Man that looks intense fun -

but totally crazy- no one is that consistent

And I thought shorttrack was nuts!

Lausanne is like Mecca for skating! I wanna go!

  • Do it first before you talk

  • 2:50 is hilarius

  • lame ey so lame

  • so if you can do downhill you can do vert easy

  • it could be cool if i could do it on ice, with my ice speed skating skates

  • horrible voice overs

  • @ThatsTooSmall The sound engineer that mixed the voice overs really did a bad job.

  • that looks fun

  • Cool Vid, Roller Skating is a life style.

  • wow so cool. i wanna do this, but it looks a bit hard to know how to speed.

  • It was too hard to understand...

I could understand the French is they hadn't put the English on top...

  • weren't they speking italian? I'm pretty sure he said swiss and italian skaters at the beggining?

  • At least one spoke French and another German.

  • FFS they could at least mute out the ACTUAL talking while they are translating, i couldn't understand anything that he was saying -_-

  • Gamba looks like Rob Dyrdek hah.

  • aahahaahha NOw go try down kill mountain bikeing. its all of this adrenien times 5. Go look up sam hill

  • on a mountain bike you have brakes

  • uhh ya, you kind of need them. Its up to the rider, on how you use them. Dip shit, do i need to go down that whole path. Mountain bikeing just like roller blading is a on man sport. Its up to you how far you take it. And you brake in roller blading aswell so i dont get what your point is.

  • lol "brakes on a mountain bike" NO shit you retard. GO look up sam hill whach him ride and tell me why he might have brakes. If you didnt you wouldnent be able to keep control for very long. Not at the speeds you can reach if you actauly have the skill to navigate your self and balance on a path on rough terrain. and im not talking aobut the pussy groomed shit most people go out and look for. Im talkin about EXTREME RIDING as some may say lol.

  • No need for the flaming, all I was saying is that If you look at their boots they don't have any brakes on them meaning its harder to slow down.

You can reach some pretty fast speeds on inlines too, I have been at over 35mph on mine after going down just a small hill.

  • Mountain biking is completly different and its not a case of how rough the terrain is, its a case of how big the bumps are in comparison to your wheels. The wheels in skates are solid and much smaller so bumps that would get absorbed by the tyres on a mountain bike have a much greater effect on skates. Also with mountain bikes you can turn the handlebars to change your direction, with skates the wheels are fixed in a line.

  • A lot of what I have said may be obvious but all I am saying is they are completly different in how you stop, turn, or deal with rough terrain. You wouldnt bike down a hill with bumps bigger than your wheels would you?

Both sports require a lot of balance though, that sam hill guy is pretty impressive

  • lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
