Just stunning. I saw him in a wonderful concert this evening with Shahzad Ismaily. Completely blew me away. More genuineness in his versions of these Appalachian songs than one hears even from some "traditional" performers.

This isnt the officiel vid, right? I think its way to obviously sentimental. Whats great about about samamidon is that he has given these great songs a rebirth - and a relevance in this day and age. I think the music should be left standing on its own and not be forced into this sentimental settler setting.
