  • how much coke?

  • the most entertaining 5 mins of my life

  • Hey man great video well done.

  • wow, seeing louis being killed like that might actually have scarred me for life!

  • pretty dam good

  • Video was hot.....But I think my favorite part was at the end when you turned around. Then the quick close-up and cut...damn good

  • Does iMovie have a chroma-key effect (change a colour like green into another image)?

If it does, you can do the same effect as Sin City (colourised objects, the rest B&W).

  • Coming from a Film student myself, I think the editing is amazing. The camerawork could use with some improvement, but overall this is great. Keep it up.

  • Very good.

  • Nice film, there were some very neat shots!

The story seemed a bit random, but assume the story wasn't really the point of this.

    Anyway, this lloks awesome.

Now that I watched it, as you asked for at the "spirit trailer" commets, you go watch my stuff:D

    type in:

FOR THE GREATER GOOD first teaser

    Keep up the good work!

  • Hi, you posted on the sin city video;)

So i thought lets take a look.

I really liked the angles from where you were filming, it adds some excitement to the movie. and your choice of music is excellent.

The part where the guy lies bleeding in the shower was nice (shot by camera)

    i enjoyed it,

    Thanks

  • very very good job, im an A-Level film studies student, i can see where your coming from with this. very heavy on genre (especially the film noir influences. good work mate. can you please tell me what software you used for the editing?

    x

  • i used iMovie -free editing software that comes with mac OS. did a lot of importing exporting from camera to software layering up effects to get it rite. if its basic editing ur looking to do i highly recommned it, very easy to use and gives a good outcome! where u studying?

  • That was good man i liked the style you used great work 5/5

  • hey really nice.... u still studyn newer?

  • 0/5

  • Some of the best home-made shit I've seen in a long time. Bravo.

  • COOL, it felt like those old 1960s cop caper detective films, great job dude!

  • Dude really well done i say few moments where it would of been cool if you did the whole venetian blinds thing through the banisters of the stairs. All so have you ever tried using a wheel chair as a dolly it works really well. REALLY GOOD EDITING! KUDOS!

    Keep em coming

  • more blood

  • hey nice job dude good editing! i dont know u but it sure wasnt a waste of time!

  • JEAH! really good! the blood is REALLY realistic! and i really liked the "bird's eye" cam view! congrats!

  • Wait a minute how fucking old are you? At first I thought this was a short film for a college class. Very nice work. I Just made a short film in my media class at school, its also a film noir, about drugs, and such, its not as good, but when its up I'll message you or something.

  • i'm 20 now, but was 17 when i made the film. it was for alevel film studies. cool sounds good, give me a post whens its up!

  • Hey the movie's up! You should check it out.

  • Here's a comment from holland ;)

I like the way of filming, the story line is good, and the filming shows the madness of drugs and the surreality you can get in when you use it.

You said you were inspired by Sin City. I understand the black and white thing, but what I miss is the extravaganza that was in the movie. Everything was too much, the violence was "too" much etc. This movie does make everything look surreal, but also very realistic in a way.

  • I dont know your skills in video editing, but for example the use of color at the blood and the use of color in the eyes would have made the movie even better than it is already.

Dont see this as criticism, I like the movie a lot but you asked for feedback, so here you go!

    Grtz from Amsterdam

  • hey grtz, thanks for the comment! i dont see it as criticism. I may have kept the colour of the blood and eyes if i was able to do that on iMovie, but unfortunatly it is a very simple editing software. In some ways i think that if i had used colour it would have been unessesary and purly an "effect" rather than adding any actual quality to the film. But this is only my opinion. Conrad

  • dude this is quite disturbing im gonna have nightmares now

  • Top notch sir, top notch!

  • haha well done mate, really nice work. you don't see too many baby-faced killers in films lol/

  • I liked it:) Nice how the coke is snorted, really loved the camera angels, but i just want to ask if you had any problems with the guns in the street? I am going to be including guns in the street in one of my projects i am anticipating police in riot gear lol

  • lol i had no bother, but i may have been lucky! it was a quiet road. to snort the coke i used flour! sellotaped a euro note to the end of a hoover head, then just keep that out of the frame. to do the blood i used red food colouring in a syringe!

  • Ah Thanks very much, i guessed the coke would of been flour or baking soda, i thought it going up would of been sucking up and spitting it out, but a hoover makes much more sense :)

  • Just started watching :) I'm a media student doing national diploma so should be fun to watch, and i havnt watched it but i guess Ruiv92 is talking about handicam ;)

  • omgosh! AWESOME!

  • Nicely done,

But the whole shaky camera concept just gives it an unprofessional look. Still, pretty good :)

  • Brilliantly filmed - lovely pace, great music, great use of shadows and compositions, nicely cut - I thought it was brilliant! You had guns on the street of course - did you involve the Police or did you do it Guerrilla style and hope you didn't get reported? All the best to you sir!

  • thanks alot! I didnt have time to contact police, pre-production to post-production all had to fit into a week, so for the outside scenes i set up the studio light and just went for it. It was pretty obvious what was going on though because of the spot light.

  • Brilliant - but tyrone looks way too small for that big leather jacket

  • hiya, brilliant! loved it too. very good cinematography+editing, and use of lighting. The music is also very well matched to action, obviously it has been well thought through! congrats!!!

  • great film! I love it! :D

  • awesome film!! I like it very much! me 2, I want a music video too pleease! C.

  • wow this is amazing cinematography. Why did you take archetechture??? Would you like to do a music video for me. payed of course..

  • yay go louis
