I was a GM guy for so long..but then I looked at Chevy vs Ford (interior comparison) and Ford completely blew Chevy away lol The interior of the Chevy was suuuuuper plain and boring, so I got into a F-250 and I was amazed :) This truck is the best HANDS DOWN!
@LilDylKing We made a mistake... The F-250 was available with a 6-speed manual transmission through 2010, but for 2011 the old 5-speed automatic and the manual were replaced with a new 6-speed auto. If having a manual transmission in a truck this big is important to you (and it can definitely be useful for towing control), then look for 2010 or older models.

WOW...these guys suck..and know nothing about these trucks...there is no "Base"...XL is the entry, NO 6 speed manual is available, you make a mockery of auto enthusiast everywhere.
@strumem90 From what I've heard, getting a 6-spd is possible, you just have to special order it im correct. I've seen that done on '08 and '09 Super Duties.
@Perfect5Recurve nope none....it cant handle the torque. The 08-10 were not special order, dealerships could get them as lot vehicles at anytime without a special order sheet...
you can manually shift the truck with the shifter, mainly for towing and hauling
