@the97reapuh Yes, the Apex 40s do have the carbon reinforcement bar! Both concaves include kick tails and gas pedals. Either concave is great for freestyle and freeride, but the double concave is geared more for speed. The double concave locks your feet in during slides and makes your tuck comfy for bombing hills. The Av rocker has taller kicks offering better freestyle capabilities.

@xandero76 you don't need hills to longboard! Check out our warehouse video to see some flat land riding! You could get yourself a cruiser, like our pintails, a surf simulator, like our hybrid 35, or a freestyle board like the Apex 34!

Hey guys I'm 5'10" 150 lbs. I do slides bonelesses downhill carving, basically all around. Whick board would be better for me the apex 37 or the freeride 38 or 41.

@OneEyedPride If you are interested in doing mostly freeriding and high speeds then I suggest going with a freeride board. If you are interested in doing freeriding and freestyle, then I suggest the Apex 40 with double concave. The 40" will handle higher speeds with much more stability than the Apex 37.

@SurfsUpBr0 great boards to start out on are our Pintails. They come in four different sizes, they're easy to learn on, and they're great for advanced riders too. They are meant for cruising and carving, and can handle smaller hills and slides.

@silver109rox standard is a good way to go if you are just starting out. The bearings are a bit slow which is good for beginners. If you want to go a bit faster then I suggest upgrading to the Bones Reds and you'll notice a significant difference.

@Originalskateboards i have a freeride 41 inch with the bump in the middle i think its concave... anyway i have the easiest sliding wheels the yellow oragotang and i still cant slide... the faster i go the scarier it is to try. am i doing anything wrong? ive been boarding for a month

@RunningCentral sounds like you have the Freeride 41 with W concave. This board is mostly for high speeds and staying locked in while bombing hills. It can slide, just not as easily as the rocker concave. Yellow Otang stims are already broken in and slide very easily. Get a bit of speed behind you for momentum, and really push out your back foot. Also, open up your hips and shoulders. It might be easier to grab your board and drag your hand at first, so you may want to get slide gloves.

Im 14 years old and ony started longboarding about 2 months ago, I bought an Arbor freeride board .. I like riding hills but it seems I hit speed wobbles everytime even though i follow every tip I hear.. I was wondering if you had anysuggestions on which board from original would be right for me?

@kodie9000 make sure you tighten up your trucks a bit and also, start of small!! Controlling speed wobbles is just as much the rider as it is the set up. As for our boards, our Freeride series are our best boards for higher speeds and freeriding.

@treflop1234 they're pretty different. The deville rat rod is more of a downhill carving board, and is made out of bamboo and has some decent flex to it. The Apex 37 is mostly a freestyle board and is made with a carbon fiber reinforcement bar to ensure durability. It will not snap while doing tricks.

One of my favorite parts of longboarding is that overwhelmingly peaceful, happy feeling you get when it's just you out in beautiful nature going down a hill, feeling fluid in your carves, and you don't need to worry about anything. no innuendo implied, but size doesnt matter, its all about the hardness. harder wheels are better for sliding, but are less smooth on the terrain. softer wheels give a smoother ride, but make slides and stuff more difficult. its your call!
