  • i wonder wat tuning the are in????????

  • I play this song on a loop in my car, it doubles my gas mileage.

  • METAL UP YOUR ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    COMONNNNNN JUMP IN THE FIREE

  • *being drunk spelt kirk wrong

  • love this song but this is slowed down and is kurt not even trying to play the solos? There is a free live version on metallica vault which is spectacular it has cliff on bass. 1983 cleveland!!

  • Your morons arguing over who wrote what and blah blah blah shut the fuck up already! Mustaine contributed in writing the original one on the No Life Till Leather demo and it sounds a lot different than this one now (Jump in the fire). Yes, he contributed, but he didn't in the final version. I'm a fan of both bands, Megadeth and Metallica, and I couldn't care less who wrote it, it's still a great song!

  • its fast but i wish they used the same tone

  • @ktg32 the origanil is shit. its soo dry. dryer than ..and just for all album. this live version is better because its bassy and heavy.

  • kirk hammet shit! horrible solos!

  • @proliant666 The 1st solo is exactly like on the album and the 2nd one is almost exactly like the album, cept for the end but that was faded so hard to criticize that, stop being such a bitch dude :P

  • la version de los 80s supera a esta pero en fin, lml

  • 29 years

  • If they can do THAT live in 2010, they've got 20 years left in them easy.

  • didn't know they were still able to play songs like this....honestly,metallica has been a constant thing in my life for about 30 years, they still rock (hard) but it's not the same anymore...some say it's better, most say it's worse....i say its different

  • Ohh yEAh KirK thE mAstEr

  • KIRK MASTER,,,,,GREAT SOLO,,,,

  • Hello Dave Mustaine. I just wanted to tell you that Metallica is here selling millions with your songs. These songs you made for metallica, made them famous.

  • @lihismies96 Contributing to songs =/= writing entire songs. This is what Mustaine fanboys need to learn. He contributed to the songs. He didn't write them all on his own as many like to claim.

  • awesome solo by kirk indeed

  • @nando88 You're a fucking retard. First of all, if you were a real metal fan you would like both megadeth and metallica. Second, you're a metallica fanboy. Metallica sold out with the black album. Third, this is fucking terrible. You can't say that the original isn't as good as this.

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx You're retarded as well, though. You're a Megadeth fanboy who thinks because Mustaine contributed to some of the songs on KEA and RTL he suddenly owns them and wrote both albums and a generic,boring-ass Metallica oldfag who won't get over the fact that Metallica decided to try something new rather than pump out the same shit for thirty years. This performance definitely isn't as good as the original, however. But the original was recorded almost thirty years ago.

  • @LuigiFanatic I'm actually not a Megadeth fanboy. He wrote this song and pretty much everything on Kill Em' All. And Metallica changed for money. Sooooooooo... Fuck off.

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx I might agree with you if everything you just wrote wasn't wrong.

  • @LuigiFanatic Then explain to me how it's all wrong?

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx Dave didn't 'write this song'. He contributed to it, and a few others on KEA and like, three on RTL. Are you gonna tell me he wrote the drum line, the bass line, all the rhythm and lead guitar work and the lyrics? There's a difference between writing a song and writing part of a song/contributing to it. And Metallica didn't change for money. They changed because they fucking felt like it, and people who hate them for it can fuck off.

  • @LuigiFanatic Dave wrote the lyrics, rhythm, and lyrics to pretty much the whole KEA album. And why are you Metallica fanboys so blind and don't see that Metallica changed for money? Bands really don't just change. And how come right after the black album they changed? It's because they thought "We could make a lot more money! Screw the REAL fans! Our fanboys will stay with us and we'll get more fans from this generic music!" Metallica sucks now, deal with it.

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx James wrote lyrics as well, and if you look at the credits, Dave only co-wrote four songs on KEA. That isn't 'pretty much the whole KEA album'. It's less than half. And for your other 'point,' you metalhead faggots just label yourselves Metallica's 'real' fans just because you liked their first few albums. FYI, 'real' Metallica fans, if such a concept exists, wouldn't abandon the band and call them sellouts just because they dared to cut their hair and change up their sound.

  • @LuigiFanatic Embrace change, sometimes bands get sick of playing all thrash riffs all the time, megadeth did with RISK, they failed very badly, but at least they try something, I embrace everything metallica create because it's what they feel is right, they don't do it for the fans, they write music because it's what they love to do

  • @gingerlad8000 Why are you saying this to me? I love Metallica and embrace everything they put out. ^^

  • @LuigiFanatic oh sorry i meant to the guy you were having an argument with

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx Dave wrote the lyrics? Really? Maybe you should check your facts before you criticize someone else. Dave wrote music for 4 songs on Kill 'Em All. No lyrics. It's been a known fact for 28 years. Get a clue.

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx Dave wrote the lyrics...to the original JITF...these are the same lyrics. James lyrics deal with hell and its supposed to be from the Devil's point of view. Mustaine's lyrics were about sex. Kinda like mechanix.

  • @xXRogueFloppersXx Quite all metal-rock bands suck when they start to age.

It's really hard to play at 50 y.o. things that you wrote when you were 20.

This music is for young bodies, it's really phisical,it's not jazz, it's not blues.

  • This song should belong to Dave.

  • come back to Melboure soon guys. loved the tour & Love Matallica \m/

  • James nailed it!

  • I LIKE IT

  • their sound is not so RAW as it used to be :<

  • Dave's original lyrics for jump in the fire were horrible thank god james re-wrote the lyrics when they kicked dave out

  • @nando88 where can i find them ?

  • @olliver199 just search for "Jump in the FIre No Life til Leather" in youtube or google

  • I prefer Kirk missing some notes but playing clean like in this video than using all that wah

  • James u suck!!!!!!!!!!

  • @krblossom no mate

    you suck

  • Metallica Loves Mustaine & Mustaine Loves Metallica....fucking make an album together already!!

  • @URIBENFILM theyve been talking about it....

  • I love how James can't even remember the lyrics.

  • a like the both megadeth and metallica but I hate some megadeth envious fans

  • This would be a lot better if they didn't try to make it "heavier" by detuning their guitars.

  • @metallicakixtotalass They ain't try to do it heavier. Guitars were detuned, because James can't sing as high as then.

  • @TheSeekness1 I'm sure that's at least part of the reason, although it's not like they played it more than a half step detuned, so that's not that huge of a difference. Not to mention that with a lot of their old songs they play now they really try to make it sound "heavy."

  • @TheSeekness1 even judas priest do it. only band that has stayed in one tuning to my knowledge is iron maiden.

  • @megapurify No, they haven't. At least Adrian, who always seeks for new things to do on the guitar, mixes it up a bit. For example, Number of the Beast [song] is in D, so Dave stays in standard tuning, while Adrian [and sometimes Janick] tune down to Drop-D live. There are couple more examples of that. And didn't they tune down to E flat on Blaze albums?

  • @metallicakixtotalass they didnt only de-tune the play the song in E instead of normal F

  • Skači u vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatru!

  • @lukaa9 tako je !!!

  • i dont think kirk did a guitar solo like that ever before

  • @savageblue25 yeah well your a fag

  • @savageblue25 you mean without wah pedal? XD

  • this song is SO much fun to play on guitar

  • gotta give em credit tho they been playin almost 30 yrs and to do all the tours and parties etc to be playing this for that long aint easy

  • this is probably in D or even lower, since james voice is pretty high on the original

  • Not Like The Original, But Better Than The 2004 Version...

  • JAJA SI PARECE UN COVER!!! VENGA METALLICA PONGALE HUEVOS!!!

  • fucking soundingeneers! Guitars are so quiet :(((

  • there is 1 person who jumped in the fire and didnt like it

  • Horrible tone, seems like a cover

  • @JhonVictor666 Yeah. Shitty Metallica covers awesome Metallica. 8D just kiddin... I had to.

  • @JhonVictor666 There tones been horrible the past 7 years

  • uhg the song sounds terrible with the way he sings now.

  • much better in E tuning though :\

  • I'm really dissapointed.. Old metallica's so much better. There's more heart in it.. this makes me kinda sad to see a great band go. :'(

  • Fuckin love this song, i LOVE how he sings it here live! Jump in the fiiiiiyyyyyeeerrrrrrrr! Woo

  • damn damn. wish they played this at my concert i went to.

  • This is just sad.

  • This song proves tht Kirk Hammett doesnt use his wah wah all the time and in my opinon wen he does it he sounds amazing :)

  • nice to see that lars is happy playing this song it probaly bring back memories :D

  • @BLOOPETYHOO and mustaine sings well?

  • I've got one question......does it matter who wrote the song?

I mean, I like Hammett more than Mustaine(that doesnt mean that Mustaine is bad guitarist, he has diffrent style) anyway........THIS SONG IS AWESOME!!!!

  • @BLOOPETYHOO Yes, Mustaine composed "Jump in the fire", "Phantom lord", "Metal militia" as well as "Four horsemen" (which became "The mechanix" on his debut Megadeth album "Killing is my business...and business is good".

  • Everyone leave Czechmetallica alone, he just had a Jizz in his pants from yelling epic fail too loud.

  • @spike007980 sure

  • love this song, wish they would play it live more often. as james gets older, the tuning gets lower to accomodate his voice haha.

  • Hahahaha, the end, 'MEBOURNE(AH) IYEAAAAAHEEEAAAAH! ' So James :P

  • oh my god!! kirk is such an awesome guitar player!!, i'm amazed how he played this solo, it sounds like the original record, even though people criticize him a lot, i think is one the best! you're my inspiration!! thanks kirk

  • HE FUCKED UP! at 1:20 he says "with hell in my veins and my hand on my face" its soposed to be "With hell in my eyes and with death in my veins!

  • Comment removed

  • @Czechmetallica No He's not.

  • @beyondaqtip Alright, so what if he fucked up in 1 sentence of the lyrics? He's playing fast pace and singing with speed. It makes no difference to me.

  • @beyondaqtip lol. So you are not true metallica fan

  • @Czechmetallica are you fucking with me??? i have EVERY metallica song on my mp3(exept for carpe diem baby XD) and i know EVRYTHING there is too know about metallica. it dosent make any differce to me niether, i was just saying.

  • @Czechmetallica also, ibet you dont even know what this songs is even about

  • Comment removed

  • @Czechmetallica dude hes not, it was a fuck up you could tell, he said they dont play that song that often so he might of just forgot, i've seen metallica live and the lyrics are never pourpsly changed, if you've known metallica like i do, you would now this

  • @beyondaqtip @Czechmetallica You guys are idiots...

  • @drawer1995 your an asshole

  • @beyondaqtip I know.

  • @drawer1995 you better ;)

  • @drawer1995 shut the fuck up dickhead

  • Why did i have to grow up in an age of shit music? I wish i grew up in the 80's! All my classmates talk about this faggot named beiber and all other kinds of rap and hip hop bullshit! They talk about these screamo bands like their gods and when i tell them that metallica and slayer and megadeth and motley crue, and cooper helped create those wannabe rocker bands.....they look at me funny and ask who they are..........and then i cry....

  • @webmaster005 I know what you mean... this douchebag nu metal guy sat next to me in math saw my Iron Maiden shirt and said they sucked... so pissed. Could have punched him if he wasnt huge lol

  • is this in D standard??

  • @Hotdog40404040404 i think E standard or dropped E

  • @metalheadband666 sounds like dropped E

  • So come on! Jump in the Fire!

  • 1 year this video :)

  • it sounds pretty weird with the old james singing the lower tunning. also, this distortion isnt the right one for this song, its not as raw as in the album

  • Awesome riff!! :D

  • @JamesKendric yeah because it was made by dave mustaine^^

  • @Thrashfly well u cant be for sure other than dave did the solo....james probably worked out the main riff

  • @Lekiwi33 dave wrote this song when he was 15, all of it

  • @jerryflack4eva and your sources.........?

  • @jerryflack4eva Umm I suppose you missed the part where Kirk completely reworked ever solo on the album but was cool with it not being in the credits.. fact.

  • Comment removed

  • @Thrashfly YOU ARE FUCKING RITH

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds so much better in E tuning imho

  • |,,| By far the best song Metallica has ever written |,,|

  • jejejeje james can´t scream!!!

  • best metallica performance from kill em all in a while , congrats guys!

  • Everybody like this song Fuck Yeah!!

  • just imagine METALLICA playing JUMP IN THE FIRE in 1989

  • @andresasin94 holy shit !

  • @andresasin94 can you imagine? you weren't even born XD

  • @ebalim hehehe, that's true

  • @andresasin94 That voice :D

  • you all suck stop comparing metal bands this is no how we will win the war against the pop and the rap and the bad music

    Metal Fact ^_^

  • I really don't understand why they don't play this song more often. To me , it's one of their most brutal songs ever.

  • @TranscendentBiscuit yeah!the final solo gives me chills, it's incredible!

  • sounds like a song from garange inc, instead of kill'em all.

  • @baranthalas Sounds like Kill'em all just James doesn't sound as young as he use to.

  • Thanx Dave Mustaine for this awesome song.

kirk is good but mustaine is legend and new metallica sucks

    MY opinion =D

  • @PETSKULAATTORI

    Your opinion sucks!

    MY opinion =D

  • @Bartolr2

    You're opinion rules!

    My Opinion =D

  • Comment removed

  • @Zoso77777 You too!

    My opinion =D

  • @Bartolr2

wll new metallica is ok but still MEGADETH rulz

    so your opinion sucks =D

  • @PETSKULAATTORI

    I prefer Megadeth than Metallica

    so your opinion rlz :D

  • @Bartolr2

lets just say that our opinion rulz!!!

    problems??? =D

  • are they in a different tuning...?? sounds weird and james is playing f# i think...weird

  • @METALLICAa7xOZZY Yeah it's in different tuning. James can't sing that high anymore, Lars even said so himself. Idk what tuning it is though.

  • @METALLICAa7xOZZY they play half-tune down.

  • Amazing. I think Rob must have talked them into playing this. He's really got Metallica bringing out some old greatness (even if Mustaine wrote this, it is metal history for sure)!

  • R.I.P. James' voice. YOU WILL BE MISSED!

  • @NickDaStick1441

I like his voice as much as the one he had until he got injured during the Black Album production.

To me he is the best singer ever ;)

  • @Metalmoe94 Have you listened to Robert Plant?

  • @duuii25

yeah, but you don´t get what I´m sayin´

He is NOT the best singer in terms of hitting notes or reaching extreme frequencies, but his voice seems so perfect the way it is, to me.

  • @NickDaStick1441

Even lacking power as it does now, James' voice is still out-fucking-standing, a lot more technique is involved now.

  • I think Metallica should just start making instrumentals now lol I love Metallica man but James' voice is blown.

  • That stage reminds me of Forum in Copenhagen..

  • This song is so funny... lol

  • all hail dave mustaine ;)

  • its so good 2 hear the old stuff :) TALLICA FTW \m/

  • Playback on vocals would not hurt, but i don't think Hetfield ever could sing like he did on the studio version on the live stage.

Sad when u come to think of the fact that they're a band that can't play their own songs as on the albums thanks to Hetfields vocals, but i'd sell my sister to see them anyway :)

  • @IAmDeathknight man you should consider that this song was created in 81...allmost 30 years ago:).Even James voice changed a bit..I dont say that in the 80's years he singed better, neither he singed worst..but voice changes over time

  • @dory96 Yeah i know man, but i heard in an interview with lars that hetfield never could sing that high pitch that he does in the studio version, thats all ^^

  • Comment removed

  • Maddest riff :D

  • lars is really really bald but it doesnt matter !! xd

  • i'll jump in the fire allright...THE BONG FIRE!!!! FIRE FIRE FIRE mmmuuuhahahahaha *cough* *cough*

  • What I really like about watching some of the Death Magnetic live concerts is that Metallica seems to be jamming and trying to have fun rather than trying to put on a show, which they are doing.

  • He's Kirk Hammett, he can do what he wants... STILL GREAT METALLICA!

  • Finally, they played this live. Now they can play Escape and Frayed Ends of Sanity.

  • this isnt the metallica of the kill em all album..

    they arent the same..

  • @urro73 who cares omg?! Metallica will be always Metallica

  • @fikingCZ They have been out for more than 30 years, they can only do their best. :-P

30 years of rockin' must be bloody tiring! XD

  • I like how james sings ''fireeeee''. It sounds kind of mesmerizing and psychedelic

  • Really slow dude :(
