@standardpack The wii remote has some issues compared to the gamecube controller. I'll list some: The buttons are too far apart. It has too few buttons. You'll miss out on some advanced techniques when you use it. The wiimote acctualy have slower input then the gc-controller(important for professionals).

So that, and the fact that melee it a better competitive game then brawl, is why I think using a wii-remote is frowned upon by gamers that are into the Smash series.
