@Redspikez servers are where you connect to other players like a link that way you are able to play multiplayer about.

Dedicated servers are third party servers, where users can mod, fool around, etc. However modern warfare 2 is now using only their servers, so it is alot like a console experience, but it is really fun and ok, so dont worry about servers.

Just worry about if your comp can handle it

@Redspikez Steam is an amazing program that is very similar to xbox live, you can download demos, connect with friends, buy games, forums, watch trailers. @HDMohamed they did that so no piracy, once the game is registered to a steam account it is LOCKED in and the game will NOT EVER EVER work without steam, with hacks IDK, but normally U HAVEEE to have steam

K, what specs does the laptop have?

ok, steam and xfire (similar but steam is better imo) are like an xbl or psn client for pc. You keep track of freinds, voice chat, have clans, groups, and you can even listen to musice while u play, or hell on online while ur game loads. However in steam you can even dl games, new off the shelf games, legally but not free. You can even join ur friends' games from ur desktop or while in game.

If u know xbl then steam is like that but for PC

As a pc gamer, I would have bought it in PC version from the beggining. However giving u have a PS3, I would sujest come one u have it already dont get another. (Trust not much of a diff. only graphics, and mouse and key, playing with ur buds on a friday night all chillin at ur house iS ALOT more worth it.

This game was good, But sometimes it would fuck up and they took off deticated server's. I'm used to the Xbox 360's MW2 controllers, and as well of PS3's, that's right I play MW2 for XBOX 360 and PS3 :p
