Chris, you don't know me but I know OF you very well. I was part of the first IT volunteers in Burkina 08-10 and your PDFs on teaching IT were invaluable to us. I based all of my classes on them. Through me you reached over 500 students in Koudougou (where I was teaching IT) and about 50 village students from other villages around the country. nice video. wend na kon d nindaare
Thanks for uploading this video, I'm headed to Burkina Faso in June with the Peace Corps (looks like I'll be succeeding some of the commenters below) and this was very informative.
This video was amazing and informative! My 27 month Peace Corps tour at Burkina Faso begins in early June and I'll be working in the GEE program. You video definitely gave me a good look into the life in BF. Merci!
This is an excellent video. I spent the spring semester of 2004 in Burkina with a homebase in Kaya. A couple of those nights I hung out with Peace Corps volunteers. One in Djibo and one in Dori. I also had dinner in Kongoussi one night. Thank you for making such a thorough and detailed video. You can see my video of BF under "Burkina Faso Mission Trip."
This is great. We leave for Burkina in 6 weeks for our 27 months tour in Peace Corps. Up until this, we couldn't really get a good sense what life was going to be like there. This is a helpful sneak preview. And we've shared with with our friends/family so they have have a sense what it'll be like. I'm actually going to be an SED as well. Cheers.
Hey, Great Video! I was in Silmidougou from 03-05, it is nice to see a little bit of burkina again...makes me miss it. It would be great if you got some video of people speaking Moore. Sounds like you are doing some great work, try to stay cool in the hot season!
Glad you liked the video -- your successor, Anna, visits me pretty regularly in Kongoussi (she hates Kaya), and a few weeks ago I finally made it down to Silmidougou -- really made me appreciate being in a town instead of a village!
