  • Forget how good your cymbals are I'm impressed at your tom's depth and the tightness of your snare and kick. Great job man.

  • Very well done. I'm afraid of touching a drum kit, but I know if I want my own stuff to get somewhere then I'll have to make a small investment and a few weeks getting some basics down.

Black Metal: the genre where retards think a lack of ability is somehow a good thing.

  • @MorkaGraven Why'd you mention that? This isn't black metal at all.

  • @TocsDK Akercocke are blackened death metal. I don't know why I mentioned that now.

  • @MorkaGraven That's correct, but this as well as black metal requires skill. Also the blackened death metal does only have elements of shrieking from black metal. It's essentially the only element from black metal that's borrowed.

  • @TocsDK They show a great deal of black metal influence besides shrieking. This is fucking Akercocke we are talking about crazy.

  • @MutilationOfTheWeak Care to elaborate? :3 I'm pretty sure shrieking and the shallow tones are the only parts.

  • @MorkaGraven some of their stuff is blackened death, but if you listen to 'Of Mestrual Blood and Semen' it has a much more pronounced bm sound

  • Flawless!!!

  • nice cov, good job on the blasts, thats what i was waiting for

  • great job dude,I love Akercocke\m/!!!!!

  • 0:44 yarram sanki uzun hava okuyo, kafa sallamaya bak

  • Great fucking job man!

  • yeah man!!! awesome record :P what kind of camera are you using? because i want to record myself playing akercocke songs as well but my camera jus sucks :(! but you are an incredible dummer man :) and i really understand you .. last part is just insane :)

  • Very good job dude, keep more akercocke drum covers coming !

  • Great job man, awesome performance.

  • Good cover!

  • Not bad man, there are a few mistakes like you said, a few mistakes on tempo but nothing very serious, you can do better if you practice more. And keep playing such good bands, they're one of my favorite bands as well.

Nice sound capture as well, thumbs up on that!

I gotta ask you about your china, could you tell me about it? I like the sound

    Regards

  • Dude!!! I just wanted to say, sick fucking Akercocke cover, "Perfect!" Any way dude, I am a BIG fan of Akercocke. To bad there are no drummers like you around my neck of the woods. Check out my shit if you like (Jesuit Killer) on my space. Again, sick as fuck dude! Do some more!!!!

  • great :D

  • nice job:) what kind of ride do you used?

  • Badass drumkit. Now, I've absolutely no knowledge about how it all works. But I would like to know how you get that "clicking" pedal sound. It makes it alot more, "metal" alike.

  • @TocsDK much thanks! i triggered the kick then replaced the sound from the alesis dm5 to something i liked better on my computer. in an acoustic situation, you can achieve click by boosting somewhere between 6k-10k with an eq. using rubber, wood or plastic beaters also helps along with an impact pad on the batter head.

  • What kind of china do you have, man?

  • @keres993 all are wuhan except one zildjian that i got after the ink was rubbed off so i don't what it is, lol. it is an A though.

  • @nebulous hehe Wuhan's are the best. I have a 12" that makes for a great effect cymbal in fills. I am planning on buying a bigger one, probably 18", but I cannot find anywhere to hear what the 18" sounds like in real life. Sound clips do them no justice, so I'm looking for suggestions.

  • @keres993 the china there behind my head is an 18" wuhan. i like it...nice and trashy like all wuhans. i used to use a 20" which was also good. i don't know of anywhere that has sound clips of just the cymbal either but if you're looking for a real trashy china the wuhans are a good bet...they're just aren't the most durable.

  • great drumming! what t shirt did you wear in this video?

  • @UltimateThrashAttack thanks man. its a sepsism shirt with the cover from their prevail in disgust album.

  • Really fo0king good m8.. A+++++

  • givin you the claw right now

    bloody good cover

  • Bloody good cover!

  • your shredding is my shredding your blasts are MY BLASTS. woo wee

    11/10

  • Akercocke's drumming is so Jazz influenced, never really realised that before.

  • lol dude 5:29 Nice RoCK ON! :D

  • nicee

  • where the fuck are great drummers like you where I live man?

    and an Akercocke fan nonetheless

  • Awesome cover man

  • few mistakes. but overall awesome!

david gray is an awesome drummer and tryin to play along 2 sum of his stuff is very difficult.

I am attempting the song myself aswell so their may be another leviathan cover within the next few weeks

    Awesome drumming dude!

  • It's awesome. I have been looking for a drum cover for Leviathan quite a while now, and to my ear, it's got little to no mistakes at all.

What can I say, it's awesome!

  • oke. didnt want to break you down bro, just thought my comment would help cuz it did for me. anyway i`m gonne look 4 those tom`s on e-bay now, thanks for the info.

  • by the way ,those tom`s sound bad ass. pearl?

  • my set is actually tama superstar, the 80's full birch line not the new birch/basswood line. some of the best drums ever made. heads were coated g2's on top, clear g1's on bottom both tuned fairly low. also, in regard to your last comment, i never hit the bell when i play this tune, just a random accent or two that may have sounded like a bell. i always hit the left side as well since its more ergonomic.

  • not bad ,but when you blast whit your ride cymbal u should hit the bel on the left side instead of the right, that way you are closer to the tom toms on the left which results in faster play on the left side of the drum kit

  • You never cease to amaze me dude. lol its kinda weird seeing you slow down a bit and groove out. by the way how exactly did you do the sound for this video? did you mix out the original drums for the song? anyway excellent work my friend your an inspiration to us all. \m/

    -Beard

  • thanks dude, i really appreciate, especially coming from you. i miced up my set and did some eq and whatnot and deleted the audio from the camera, then i imported the song and put a high and lows pass on it i think to cut out as much drums and cymbals as i could leaving the mids w/ the guitar and vocals. i've also got a vid for dying fetus' praise the lord that i did the same for, but i can't get it to sync up...

  • nice. thats something i've wanted to do forever now but never had the tools to do it with. plus i have no idea which song i'd want to attempt first. so what program are you using to edit the video?

  • oh yeah hope it didnt take too long to get your kit back together after i frankensteined it for the recording session.lol

  • haha, it didn't take too long actually. i'm getting used to having to re-set it from so many people using it for recording. i not sure what i used to edit...wasn't windows movie maker. think it was some software that came with a capture device i bought. i has wizard in its name...all i remember haha. the computer i did it with is fucked up right so i have no idea what it was.

  • i see, the only program i ever used was pinnacle. i think if i do get the stuff i need to do it i think i might go with a Black Dahlia song from Nocturnal. It would take a bit of practice but i think i could do it. maybe.lol

  • Very nice man REALLY good!

  • That's awesome.

David Gray's drumming is so technically perfect. I'd say it's an achievment to even attempt playing his stuff :D

  • Yeah. drum-parts were one of the main things that made me love akercocke. excellence, thats all.

  • Good work! I've also given the track a shot from time to time, so I know what you're up against. You get through the song with many details intact, and - granted - a few mistakes and time-issues, but overall a very decent effort!

A tip: The "Your breathing"-bit comes off a little akward for you. It really is 4/4, but may sound odd-timish - give it a few more listens and it'll seem quite simple :)

  • nice cover man. amzaing song!

  • holy fuck dude, that was immense

u played it with like every little detal, your a hellish dummer, and your kit sounds fukin awesome

    \m/

  • amazing dude

  • hell yeah dude!!!

    nice work man

    great cover...

  • haha good work scott!

  • Holy shit. Five stars. No further comment.

  • Fucking safe as fuck. Truly excellent work. dave's a buddy of mine and I'm sending this too him now! RESPECT!

  • Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I appreciate it.

  • fucking brutal!! where are the mistaskes?

  • If there were any mistakes, I didn't notice them!

  • fucking great, ur the sort of drummer i look up to dude great work!

  • lol love the tags 'barney the dinosaur' lol, howd u switch from double bass to hi hat so quickly, and second - what kit and cymbals do u use bruv?

  • My left kick pedal and left hi-hat pedal are no more than a centimeter or two apart, so it doesn't take to much effort to make a fast switch. And my cymbals are all Sabian except my chinas which are Wuhan and one Zildjian. The set is an 80's era Tama Superstar Xtras set that are all birch, not the new Superstars series. My snare is an oak Yamaha Musashi. Thanks for the compliments man!

  • nice one! its a great song

  • Great work.

  • Awesome job! Very tight and the sound is great!

  • Great Job, sounds dead-on. I should learn the guitar and we can play it
