I don't play as the Imperium. Many a time have the faithful fallen before my armies.
But this... This is just awe inspiring. I get chills when I watch this. I am humbled by the countless heroes of Mankind, their deeds and devotion to the Emperor an example to us all. I actually cried as I felt the pain of the forgotten martyrs, their lives lost for nothing. This makes me want to fall to my knees and beg for forgiveness through sobs of sorrow.
@felynecomrade which side are you? i serve in my real life to better humanity so im imperium but i also see the views of chaos and there cant be light without shadow im new to the game but im a ametuer philosopher so i can under stand some of the premises

I am of the belief (as Magnus The Red was) that no knowledge is evil in itself, and an understanding of both Chaos and Order will allow me to make an educated choice. But Imperial doctrine states "Thou shalt not look upon the works of the heretic nor speak of them". Already this places me in opposition to the Imperium, which seeks to stifle my learning of Chaos. Why is this? Would my mere learning of Chaos tempt me to choose it?

Slaanesh appeals to my artistic side and the ability to enjoy pain would be nice. Khorne appeals to my occasional desire to be respected and feared by all else. I am more leaning towards Slaanesh, though. But the afterlife in store for those who serve Chaos is an effective deterrant...

If a being experiences an emotion strong enough, that emotion burns brighter in the Warp. When a body of emotion becomes large or strong enough, it becomes sentient, a being made of emotion: a Chaos daemon.

Faith, hatred, self-righteousness, mistrust, fear, and repression come to mind. Those would be the characteristics of the formed Chaos god.
I heard there's a top-secret plan within the Imperium to sacrifice the Emperor's direct sons so their esence will be absorbed with His, thus restoring the Emperor.

@Imperial5555 The death of the Emperor would most likely be covered up. Faith in the Emperor is what unites the entire human race, as it has for over 10,000 years. It's a religeon 5 times older than Christianity followed by well over 1,000 times more people. If you told someone the Emperor was dead, they'd probably kill you on the spot.
As for the sorrow and despair, I imagine the emotions would be absorbed into Nurgle, making Him the strongest god.
@felynecomrade well the emperor is the one making travel through the warp possible for most if no all races he goes the entire imperium and most of the galaxy would be sucked into the warp or thats what the writers say asfor feeding nurgle that makes sense but i dont think the emotion will last longer than a few seconds so maybe your right there might not be as much despair as much as the emotions the imperium shows daily
@Imperial5555 Warp travel is possible for loyalists because of 3 things: Warp engines, the Astronomicon and navigators (mutants sensitive to the flow of the Warp. I guess Chaos forces can get through the Warp because they're guided by the Chaos gods. The eldar and dark eldar use the Webway, orks use stolen or copied technology. Everyone else doesn't use Warp travel.
I don't think the emotions in the Warp dissapate after a certain amount of time. Maybe they change or get weaker.

If any of the branches of the imperium ever ceased to exist the imperium would fall.if the guard, adeptus astartes, adeptus sororitas of the ecclesiarchy, the commisariat ( which is part of the guard). The adeptus mechanicus, the munitorum, the administratum, the emperors most holy inqusition, and many other. If they disappeared the Imperium would eventually fall.
@kd8894 The Imperium is a great faction which is - of course - led by the Immortal Emperor. The Imperial Guard is the backbone of his army the Space Marines are the Elite Warriors in this regard.
BUT The Imperial Guard has to stand answer to the Space Marines as they are higher in Rank afaik. Thus this video ain´t quite right, since Space Marines and Imperial Guard are indeed different factions, though they are both fighting for the emperor! Space Marines have higher codices
Tyranids (they are like the Zerg in Starcraft - in fact Tyranids are the one who gave the Idea for zerg. They are driven by a common Hivemind and devour whole solar systems)
Those are the factions.
Noone is "allied". The Eldar and Chaos have used the Orkish lust for battle for their purpose before, but there is no real alliance at all. Eldar fought side by side with Space marines but again, no alliance.
@kd8894 The Imperium is extremely xenophobic, imperialist, and ideological, but is really the only hope for mankind. The Eldar were once a dominant race but fell thousands of years ago. They still believe themselves far superior and are more than willing to manipulate anyone or anything to benefit themselves. Orks are violent and savage, they tend to cause wars and conflicts, have no real civilization. The Tau fight for the 'greater good' which sounds nice but isn't always. Tyrannids are evil.

@SylvanusMagnus and Abbodon might still have control over Cadia at the moment, but only the ground and they are consistantly bombarded are raided and cant get past cadia, and havnt been able to for 10000 years, they have to hide like cowards on space hulks so they can raid a planet or 2 lol
@SylvanusMagnus but they have taken thousands of random planets and rendered them to ash unfortunately and are slowly beating back imperial forces with every massive strike, its actually interesting.The chaos forces seem to be going around the larger of the imperial forces almost creating a jaw around the cadian forces close to the eye of terror instead of a straight brute force attack.

Throughout the video I was thinking "this feels like one of those 'in loving memory of' type videos" and the I saw the 'remember us' at the end. That was awesome :) great job, I actually had goosebumps throughout the whole thing. Guess that shows you how much of a geek I am XD

If any of the branches of the imperium ever ceased to exist the imperium would fall.if the guard, adeptus astartes, adeptus sororitas of the ecclesiarchy, the commisariat ( which is part of the guard). The adeptus mechanicus, the munitorum, the administratum, the emperors most holy inqusition, and many other. If they disappeared the Imperium would eventually fall.

@kd8894 The Imperium is a great faction which is - of course - led by the Immortal Emperor. The Imperial Guard is the backbone of his army the Space Marines are the Elite Warriors in this regard.
BUT The Imperial Guard has to stand answer to the Space Marines as they are higher in Rank afaik. Thus this video ain´t quite right, since Space Marines and Imperial Guard are indeed different factions, though they are both fighting for the emperor! Space Marines have higher codices

@kd8894 The other factions which were introduced in the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War Series are thus far:
Eldar (high technological alien race that once ruled the galaxy but now fight for survival against nearly everyone)
Orc (well self explanatory I think... brute force and stuff)
Chaos (like Space Marines but defiled and they serve the Gods of Chaos and use Dark Magics)
Tau (High Technological race who are following the path of the "greater good")
Necron (Robots who are revived by dark energies)

Tyranids (they are like the Zerg in Starcraft - in fact Tyranids are the one who gave the Idea for zerg. They are driven by a common Hivemind and devour whole solar systems)
Those are the factions.
Noone is "allied". The Eldar and Chaos have used the Orkish lust for battle for their purpose before, but there is no real alliance at all. Eldar fought side by side with Space marines but again, no alliance.

@kd8894 The Imperium is extremely xenophobic, imperialist, and ideological, but is really the only hope for mankind. The Eldar were once a dominant race but fell thousands of years ago. They still believe themselves far superior and are more than willing to manipulate anyone or anything to benefit themselves. Orks are violent and savage, they tend to cause wars and conflicts, have no real civilization. The Tau fight for the 'greater good' which sounds nice but isn't always. Tyrannids are evil.

The Cadian Gate will never fall. Abaddon hit Cadia with everything he had and caused a LOT of damage, but he ultimately failed to take the whole planet. Why?

@SylvanusMagnus and Abbodon might still have control over Cadia at the moment, but only the ground and they are consistantly bombarded are raided and cant get past cadia, and havnt been able to for 10000 years, they have to hide like cowards on space hulks so they can raid a planet or 2 lol

@SylvanusMagnus but they have taken thousands of random planets and rendered them to ash unfortunately and are slowly beating back imperial forces with every massive strike, its actually interesting.The chaos forces seem to be going around the larger of the imperial forces almost creating a jaw around the cadian forces close to the eye of terror instead of a straight brute force attack.
