  • Rage You Ow That Guy Who Owns It Alota Muney

  • He was leading the thing around like a puppy dog till all hell broke lose.

  • First of all !! The outriggers are the lifting-points on a crane like this. They can lift the crane so they are up for the stress times 10. The morones lifted the crane with 2 chains one in each end of the boom, instead of 4 and thats why the chains are sliding in the boom. if you look at the lenght of the chains right after the accident it's so easy to see.

  • Same old story....hurry-up, get it done, we're running late, let's go, get it done...

  • Problem

  • They were lifting the Grove GMK 5160 in the video from the correct lift points. It looks like the slings were slightly different lengths on either side, causing the crane to tilt towards the long side. The tilt was enough for the slings to slide. It was a poor rigging job. Shyt happens. Cranes are dangerous and bite hard and fast when not operated precisely.

  • will that buff out or does the paint need to be retouched?

  • lotsa crane experts here

  • 0:42 Translated : Don't worry it wil T Cut out.

  • For a moment they guy with the yellow hat thought if he pulled hard enough everything would be ok :)

  • where are the lifting lugs?

  • half you fucks have never even seen a crain up close by the sounds of it, bitch bitch bitch.......

  • Cranes should not lift Cranes---

  • i would suggest at biggest its 220 ton grove or something like that Factory with locking pins

  • Cranes lifting cranes what has this world come to?

  • Somehow I think those couple of blown tires are going to be the least expensive of the repairs that will be required...

  • the operator is an idiot!...if he would have kept it close to the ground, that crane would have had minimal damage...[if any]....and everything would have been fine..

  • @unclewhitey1 How would you suggest getting it over the side of the boat then???

  • Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!! ;)

  • definetly has a couple flat tires now

  • Own up! Who fuckin pressed the lunch bell!!!!

  • I doubt OH&S even exists in Portugal

  • You can see the tires pop.

  • Somebody just lost a check. I noticed a blowout on impact.

And this is why you need to do things properly or it will cost you.

  • ive never worked in construction or anything liek this but it dosent takea genious to say that it was a retarded idea to mount thows straps to the support armso of the crane. ...epic fail

  • @killahkaii thats how you lift mobile cranes...

  • mas tinham q ser os portugueses mesmo p fazer isso...

  • crane ok?

  • so the clowns put the slings around the outriggers,

Number one rule of cranes if your outrigers are out u need to pin them.

Number 2 rule of cranes , rated lifting points.

Number 3 rule DONT LET SOME MONKEY PLAY WITH YOUR MILLION DOLLAR CRANE :P

  • @wstnets

Lifting from the outriggers is fine, just don't have 2 long slings that can allow the crane to roll. Cranes this size never have lifting points unless they are custom made.

  • Comment removed

  • @wstnets the cranes outriggers arnt built to bare the cranes entire wieght

  • @The2Wiredproductions

That's exactly what they are built for!

  • 0:39 the worker running lol

  • should have been driven in the ship lol!!!!!

  • Yeah well done slinging it to the fcuking outriggers you muppet.

  • Shake hands with danger

  • somebody forgot to tie a knot

  • The guy was holding the rope, can't imagine why that was not enou support.

  • That asshole in the grey shirt wasn't even wearing a goddamn hard hat!

  • I bet that was a union rigger... i thought the union only had the best, safest, most highly trained workers. what happened? oh, i know, they decided to use half ass rig designs and materials made in china. 100% bet the rigger is still employed and making $67.50 per hour to destroy other peoples equipment.

  • It's not so much how they rigged it it's simply you can't lift that crane up, it was too top heavy. Nothing broke until after the drop.

  • @13inder13 your a retard inder and your a terrorists sopporter also ,stay out of my turf! i know about your gay lover. you dont know what happened so shut your mouth.you COWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It looked like it was a tilted lift from the beginning. What a shame. Nice machine destroyed, and for what? My first guess would be someone's impatience.

  • I'd have quit running when I was a block away, and never gone back. Hugely heavey shit scares me, mainly because I've never been in a situation where the proper equipment was used. I'm not rigger, but I've had the shit scared out of me by idiots I've worked for. I remember unloading a big lathe with two small forklifts, and them having to pile workers on the back to keep the asses down.

  • I wonder if that was within the SWL? :D

  • Yah, some dang rope is going to help....

  • That guy just gone out of business.

  • Holy shit O.O

  • Seen this on msn.ca news last year , as if the idiot holding the guide rope is doing anything useful, bad lift and procedure , tilting and then dropping, time to piss in the bottle .

  • they lifted the crane on the out riggers

the out riggers are only to take the load what the crane is lifting

not the weight of the crane

  • @gamo98

The outriggers take far more weight when they are supporting the crane, counterweight and load. Especially if you are at a long radius and most of the load is only in one or two of them. Lifting a crane like this is fine, as long as you use the correct rigging equipment and arrangement.

  • @malaycobra i agree they take more weight then the crane but its not a great idea

i think we can all agree that the guy whom rigged the load has no idea what he is doing, we know this because THE CRANE IS FUCKED

  • @wstnets It's fine if done properly, but I agree with you that this crew clearly didn't know what they were doing...

  • they lifted the crane on the out riggers

  • Try explaining that one to the boss...

  • Good Advert For T-Cut Polish

  • Which vessel / company was this?

  • waith to mutch rotating movement , the guys with the wrope dont know there shit .

  • Atleast nobody is hurt.

  • Must have been hiding a few American in thur.

  • lol Leo's mom is on Youtube.

  • that's a double fail, for the price of 1!! good work guys! that will show them!

  • Very very stupid

  • outriggers are NOT lift points..morons

  • How freaking far from the ship was the lift?!?!?!?!!? 10-15metres!!!!??? I mean WTF!! ... check out the how much the ship was leaning toward the docks!

  • GAAWWWD DAMMIT

  • for a split second there the guy holding the rope thought he could prevent it by pulling harder on the rope....well done bro you nearly had it! lol

  • im pretty sure somebody got fired here.... weather it was their fault or not

  • Hold down 3, dirty man!

  • "i think it has to be placed right.... HERE!"

  • Looks like improper rigging to me. Load not properly balanced heavy on the right side of the load and it just rolled in the slings

  • Technically thats a double crane Fail!

  • I knew it was going to be bad as soon as I pushed play...

  • @TKVRPRJCT did the title of the video give it away?

  • media cagaita....

  • whoops

  • this is what you get when operators employ cheap labour, the extra few pound for a good slinger does not seem so dear now

  • manufactered in china

  • someone's gonna get fired...

  • poor rigging!!

  • poor rigging. no rigging saftey check

  • the lines were hooked to the damn outriggers of the crane

  • OH, FUCK!

  • THATS WHERE GROVES BELONG

    IN THE SCRAP YARD

  • @wotudo666 yes I agree......but i,ve still got to get a couple more years out of my 3050 yet ....wish me luck.

  • not bad... just in the first 3 seconds i see about 34 OSHA violations... have to love hurried lifts...

  • e poise trvdkkia dfuuy

  • otimo ,é isso ai pessoal , fizeram um belo trabalho !

  • Looks as if the outrigger that's still attached to the lifting chain had far too much stress put on it and it broke apart causing the machine to topple over

  • My Bad!

  • lucky no one was under that!!!!

  • Most enjoyable

  • Notice the left sling is sliding through the overhead beam because of lifting below center of gravity. Basket rigging the sling is only good if above center of gravity. Four separate slings is the right way to rig that load.

  • @rearl1c You nailed it. That's exactly what they should have done.

  • Bolts in the outriggers boys - basics! For me it looked like it tilted, and then one of the outriggers just slid out because it wasn't secured by the bolt - I believe this GMK has outrigger bolts, but as it often happens, a lot of operators are to lazy to put them in. The outrigger's hydraulic cylinder is simply not strong enough to provide the necessary axial restraint for the outriggers - especially in these types of lifts. Way to fast and unstable this lift as well..

  • That lift was doomed from the begining. The load wasn't rigged to the center of gravity so the crane was leaning and put extra stress on half of the wire rope slings. They are lucky that the dock crane didn't come down due to the shock load put on it from the release of all the weight at once.

  • Are the slingers still in prison...THEY SHOULD BE...!

  • @speedcrane

No, the trial was rigged! (But not by them or they would have got the death penalty!)

  • Comment removed

  • @malaycobra

    Why the death penalty ??

  • @FordsFail It was a joke. If they RIGGED their trial, they would have messed that up too!

  • @malaycobra For what? Dropping a crane?

  • @Inthisma It was a joke. If they RIGGED their trial, they would have messed that up too!

  • @malaycobra Can you link me to the trial. i did not know you can be imprisoned for that. Is this maritime law? Can you guide me to some interesting information about this?

  • @analyzingfunny It was a joke. If they RIGGED their trial, they would have messed that up too!

  • @speedcrane From what I can see, the cables didn't snap - the crane' s outriggers broke!

  • @nicholaszahra77 ... SLINGS DID NOT SNAP..... BUT......TOTALLY INCORRECT..... HAVE ANOTHER GUESS !!

  • @nicholaszahra77 They only broke after the crane crashed into the ground.

  • RIGGING FAIL

  • Deswegen immer ein Helm tragen^^

  • I agree with those who point to the rigging as the issue. Frickin' dum-ass riggers.

  • aaaahhhhhhh ,,,,hahahahaha,,,,funny shit never sling a load ,,,,,,,,,,,

  • I'm Portuguese as well. And i am ashamed to be. We are the most ignorant people. And absolutely hate the green horns that come to America and get upset with you because you don't speak Portuguese. If they had an American there this wouldn't have happened. I bet after this happened they all pointed fingers at each other. I like the greenhorns that try to get away with out talking too much to avoid speaking broken English. But I can tell right away they can't hide that...Speak Eng

  • I was just waiting for this accident to happen. You know how many tons that truck weighs? No flimsy little boat crane is gonna keep that heavy truck up for long.

  • @RerailMe

Ship cranes like those will lift 125 tons or more each. The crane weighed maybe 60-70t.

The problem was in the way it was rigged, not the ship cranes.

  • WTF?

  • No one heard snapping? No one cared to radio the crane operator to lower the damn thing down? I guess "time is money" takes the blame here.

  • @wookovar

Nothing snapped until it was too late. There was no way the crane could have lowered fast enough once it started rolling. If they had been skilled enough to notice, they would have never rigged it the way they did.

  • hahahahah idioti

  • it will buff out

  • That looks like a Liebherr LTM 1100 they dropped. That is an expensive day for sure.

  • @chilliwhiggerE

Right class of machine, but I think it's a GMK 5160 Grove...might be wrong though.

  • Looks like they had the slings basketed through pins in the lifting beam. The crane still has counterweight attached and the high CG made it roll in the slings.

They should have had 4 slings. Amateur hour...

  • @malaycobra yah. 100% right ,4 slings and they were safe. this was on azores graciosa island a few years ago...
