If you watch the original Japanese version you will see they pronounced it Sighya-jin (Saiya-being) also to further prove my point Saiyan is based off of the Japanese word for Vegetable yansai (pronounced yansigh) Also most of time when something is Japanese if its got sai in it then its pronounced sigh (i.e. King Kai Kaioken Super Sentai Hentai Ginyu Tokusentai (Ginyu Force).)
