  • Nice camera work. Is that the "peek-a-boo" philosophy? I love the part where they switched cameras. Notice how quick Brian catches on. He's pretty sharp.

  • @AnotherGlenn Ahh - what awful camera work _ I hate this style of shaky cam - it makes me feel sick!

  • He calls it a "PREEus" at the beginning like we do in the states, then calls it a "PRYus" after like they do in the UK.

    Wonder why.

  • whyt he fuck... did they zoom the camera through a crowd of people?? way to take good science and ruin it with bullshit camera angels that serve only to confuse the brilliant, and get the affectation of cultural identity to the stupid

  • "Hybrids are here to stay" no doubt but in what numbers? They have been available now for over 10 years but have made little inroads in mainstream motoring. We are looking a period of dramatic technological flux in road transport which could last 20-30 years before a final solution to an internal combustion engine appears. I don't mean electric vehicles because they have been around as long as the motor car with little take up, in fact a 50% reduction in sales in UK alone for 2011 over 2010.

  • @bossadave The first proper internal combustion car was invented in 1878, but only became sort of popular in the 20's. No one can say for sure whether hybrids will be here to stay, but you can't expect them to boom in 10 years.

  • Lol... fucking cameraman/director had a stupid idea thinking this shit would be cool. WET HADDOCK TIME!

  • I can't even watch this. Is there any reasoning behind distracting the viewer so much that I can't relax enough to concentrate on what is being said? Is the idea of modern documentary making more about engaging the attention as opposed to the mind?

Surely when it's easier to absorb the information with eyes closed than open, there could be a better way of presenting it.

  • @foiblebear This is standard Brian Cox Cam. He's a cool scientist, so he has to be portrayed in a cool way by someone who did a media studies course at their local polytechnic and thinks they're now Coppola. I agree with you that it is distracting. What I did was listen while I looked at other shit.

  • Doh, we had Dr Magnus Pike & James Burke shoved in our faces as kids.

  • wtf is with the camera angle

  • Brian Cox. The walking, talking, Stephen Hawking

  • Why THE Fuck is brian hidding behind those people?? i can´t see him, also, the Fucking camera keeps moving around!!

  • @Sebitas24 Just some hipster director trying to be clever, obscuring the message in the process. I hate "shakey cam" more than anybody.

  • Keep that freakin camera still. It's tiresome.

  • Lol the guy on the table next to him, can't see the camera, would be like "who the fuck is he talking to?"

  • Would fuck him

  • Guy in front of screen sniffing ether off a rag!

  • what a horrible video, love hearing what he has to say, but the uneeded intro music and that camera work put me right off half way through

  • Great explanation, but the camera man has had too much to drink and Brian is like wtf is going on?!?

  • This would have been much better without the dodgey camera work.

  • I couldn't pay attention to what he was saying because of that awful camera work, just garbage!

  • They are all missing the point, a toyota Prius is probably the worse car in the world to actually drive! It is saving pollution because it is so awful that people would rather stay at home than actually go in it.

  • This camera man is giving me motion sickness!

  • lol wtf is up with the zorro-esque moustache?!

  • Jeez are the camera guys trying to be "edgy" with having things blocking the view of brian. Or are they just terrible? probably just terrrible lol

  • who the f**k directed this clip? retard, or a blind camera man.

  • brian cox where's the facts man :(

  • worst camera man ever

  • Fuuuuuu. I missed everything. That camera just. Gah.

  • surely at one point the asain guy would say: "do you want me to move?"

  • wtf man he is 41 years old, looks like 28

  • @skurvenykokoti he is an evil scientist! he is hoarding all the stem cells for himself!

  • @microphon3 i think we should take a peek into what's happening in cern, im sure it's run by an army of Brian Cox clones trying to cultivate a massive black hole to overtake the earth

  • @skurvenykokoti no way he is 41 ! he looks much younger :O

  • @skurvenykokoti He's in his 40's? Fucking hell! I'll have what he's having!

  • i must listen to this again without looking at the screen, its just too confusing why this camera guy is erm.? ...yeah : /

  • typical BBC camera! it is more authentic, don't you see?;)

  • Why on earth is it thought to be "cool" to have incompetent camera work ?

I feel sea sick. Yet clearly it was a serious piece.

Sack the director who told the camera man "do it badly.. yeagh yeagh... I can't oncentrate great...!!!!"

  • wish i was this smart.. lol

  • Congratulations on completely missing the point.

Try watching it again without thinking you know anything. Pay attention kid.

  • i LOVE BRIAN COX!!!!!

  • great video, very informative and accurate
