The song set a mood in the tv show, and if that attracts a greater audience towards Wye Oak, then so be it. Good on them and good that music like this might be played more often because of tv shows that play their music. I'd much rather listen to this on the radio because it got popular due to tv rather than the same old pop you hear everywhere.

Not my kind of music, came here through a friends facebook post. Pretty cool though. It would have been cool if she'd synced the delay to the tempo at that part at 1:09, it would sound a lot better imo. She she should try to get more clarity in her voice as well, the way she sings it has a certain atmosphere that makes the song, but I think she could be more clear without losing that. Also, the lead tone needs less reverb and distortion. You can have a sloppy feel and still make notes audible.

@ChillingInAFire The delay was set awry, a mistake nothing more and doesn't ruin the song completely. Her singing live is quite mumbly but I think it fits the music, but I do agree that it would be better with bit more clarity. The guitar solo on the other hand I think should be even more chaotic and I don't mind if the notes aren't even audible because this solo isn't about notes and melody, it's more of an eruption of emotion.. or something. Just my opinions. :)
