  • @betrekwoman Shut the fuck up and enjoy the video.

  • So... she makes her food, but just smells it, and the show ends.... If she actually didn't eat the food, I'm going to kill myself

  • is vinegar means mirin?

  • @mbatuna Actually mirin is a special, very sweet kind of rice wine, which contains a lot less alcohol than the usual sake ^^ So no, vinegar and mirin are not the same, not even close.

  • i love your dog...shes OTONASHI desu ne...kawaii...^.^/

  • For purists who want to make exactly what Francis is making, the Chili Pepper they use is a dried Tien Tsin pepper.

  • Sigh... that looks so good! And here i am eating instant ramen.. T_T

  • i like this show, but almost all dishes are way to laborious for me!!!!

  • @Trinacria1973

Welcome to Japanese cooking. Just like everything else in their culture, it appears deceptively simple, but is in fact complex and exhaustingly detailed, lol. I've been teaching myself to make many Japanese dishes, and if it helps at all, it does get easier and goes much faster once you know what you are doing.

  • @FadedSilkandGhosts when you libe out of asia, it is also very expensive to get all ingrediendts.

so Japanese cooking is only for those with much time and much money .... :-(

  • I don't really care about cooking, or Japanese culture, or dogs for that matter, but these videos are somehow entertaning... Props to the lady, and the dog/narrator....

  • thanks a lot, now im starving even though I just ate...

  • anyone know of a good substitute for the onions?

  • @oshinewo shallots

  • @Bioplay29 just because some Chinese people eat dog doesnt mean all

  • i made this last night and it was SO GOOD! however i didn't have ginger, sake, or red chile pepper in the house, so i substituted them for garlic, mirin, and thai bird chiles…easy to make and very yummy! i also added salt and pepper to the potato starch THANK YOU!

  • @ebonite555 well i thought so but i wanted to be sure

  • (I'm 12 so give me a break D:)

I would like to make this. But i'm wondering: Can you remove the fat on the chicken? Does it matter? I really hate the taste and feel of the fat D:

  • I want fast help!

I can found something similar instead of kombu?

Something more easily available in Poland, because I dont want to to order expensively:(

  • what if i cant get sake? O_O

  • @XAFinalFantasyX they should be at your nearest asian food store. it'll either be called cooking sake or cooking wine. just talk to the people that run the store. there isn't an age restriction on buying those. its just an ingredient. its actually completely different from regular sake

  • @akaoru8sensei Thanks!

  • @XAFinalFantasyX ^^ no problem. if anything goes wrong, tell me.

  • she chooses the most difficult way of doing things, i.e. the most complete way.

  • @arthritismutilans this one is actually relatively easy compared to... well. everything else. haha. i dub this the one easy video

  • this looks amazing.. and must taste even better.

  • such precision.....

  • I always get mixed up which is ginger , garlic and onion

  • @wiwa116 yellow onion is the round one. garlic is white and has a strong taste. ginger is a kind of root and a little bit yellow. This food really looks tasty!

  • What the heck is Kombu Kelp ?

  • @IamTeppei Its a kind of seaweed

  • so its kinda like karaage but only less batter and a sause? sweet. i wanna try it.

  • Omg tht looks so freaking good.

  • I don't know why, but when I see someone marinating the chicken/beef/pork I get sooo appetized even though its still raw, especially if the marinade composes of soysauce ^-^

  • if she has a husband he is so lucky.

    ._.

  • Holy shit, GIVE ME!!

  • @HmanyABD

You can just get the sake and when you cook it with the vinegar and etc the alcohol will evaporate :)

  • She's like cooking mama!!!!!!!!!! :D :3

  • @HmanyABD do you mean sake, it is rice-based alcoholic beverage

  • that is heaven on a plate!

  • what kind of vinegar is that? it ain't white vinegar for sure... its color was amber-yellow ish...

  • @shadeofme12 I am pretty sure it was a rice vinegar.

  • holy F... she gets younger by the minute!!! what the hell!!!! is it the food she eats or bottox??

  • cooking this right now

    cant w8 :DD

  • its so delitius

  • @KikyoChanXD The heat and stiffness shall be adjusted to your preference.

  • The thing I like the most is how relaxed she looks. Francis, however looked a bit anxious in this episode. Hehe

  • she is using a ceramic knife ... man, I wanted to buy those

  • @KikyoChanXD I got exactly what you need.

  • y are her hands so vainy?

  • @BLAZEDmonster usually hard working people have veiny hands I don't have veiny hands because I am lazy XD

  • @UtotBoomTae My hands are actually chubby! WOOP FATTY. (The rest of me isn't chubby, but my hands and fingers are, wtf :P)

  • Thank you so much for this vid! I baked the chicken instead of deep frying them. Came out just as tasty. May we know how old is Francis now?

  • I love you. Marry me.

  • I've never held my face so close to a computer screen before...

  • Is it just me or when he says "Good kluck in the kitchen." seems like "Galactic Kitchen"?

  • Japan Rules >.< !!!

  • I made this today it was really good, tnx for the video my husband is grateful to you :)

  • Just tried this, and it tasted horrible. I threw it out.

Almost EVERYTHING I make tastes horrible, though. I need to go to a cooking school or something. ='(

Wish I could have this meal prepared properly by someone for me. It looks delicious in the video!

  • @jimthegreat1012 you had all the right ingredients?

  • I love watching these videos. I'm getting a great education in Japanese cooking! I wonder if they ever plan on putting the videos on a DVD?

  • THIS RECIPE IS AWESOME! I tried it today, even though i lacked chili peppers, sake, kombu kelp and potato starch (i substituted it with corn starch) and my whole family loved it! My parents found that i have HOPE in becoming a cook! imsohappy ^__^

  • i am so friggen hungry right now...

  • uhm....where can you get these ingredients in america and what can you substitute :( HELP

  • So I did this recipe and didn't have no dried red pepper and my store didn't have it so to have some spice I used my yellowish green shit with a hint of red. I took a taste of it and after a while I started to throw up soy sauce with big green chunks then I would choke on a big piece of fat but it only happen 8 times... What did I do wrong?

  • lol the dog is like: ^o^

  • thumbs up when you watch these videos it makes your mouth water

  • If she haves children, then those children must be the luckiest kids

  • @hawkeyesvn yeah, americans need moms to stay home and make stuff for the family and take care of everything like this....like we used to.

  • @hawkeyesvn or if she is married, her hubby must be very well fed and cared for!

  • @hawkeyesvn in the world

  • @hawkeyesvn no joke... a great cook is hard to find.. a great cook thats a mother or wife.. doubly so

  • @hawkeyesvn

Let's not forget her husband, he's having the best foodgasm ever.

  • O___O was the dog talking? cause it says 'cooking with dog' and when the guy introduces himself, its on the dog... so the dog is the narrator... i want a dog to help me cook :(

  • Yay! I made this last night for my Dad for his Father's Day dinner and it is super tasty! I couldn't find Kombu Kelp, so I didn't do that part, but it all still tasted good. Oh, and I couldn't find tiny green bell peppers so I just got a regular green and sliced thin pieces. SO YUMMY! You all should definitely make this!

  • miam miam i'm sooo hungry even though i have just eaten!!! :)

  • I really like the way Francis says "chicken" xDD
