Absolutely true. The 2004 and 2005 Illini teams were from Bill Self's recruits if I'm not mistaken. Even students over at Illinois question Weber's recruiting abilities. I don't think Illinois will produce an NBA player as long as Weber is coaching there. And Jordan's kid has academic problems so I don't think Northwestern will be the best option, but that's just me.

Michigan State football is not a powerhouse by any means and your basketball program has yet to get over the hill and enter the same atmosphere as Kansas, North Carolina, Duke, UCLA and Kentucky.

Michigan State was 9-3 in football last season, they are a powergouse now and sorry but the atmosphere at the Brelin center is the best in the country.

Michigan State is alo good in hockey, they won the national championship in 2007 and their women tennis team is also one of the best in the country.

Every list of top basketball venues always has Allen Fieldhouse and Cameron Indoor at the top of their list. Brelin Center is never even mentioned.
