Hey man, i'm going a boxing club later this month (Have a medical issue i need sorted out) and i was just wondering if you have any advice? I plan on competing amateur once i get good enough.
good stuff..juss a tip tho..if your not moving your feet move your head, you become predicitable if you dont. move your head and make him miss..otherwise good stuff
Hey man you did your thing. I'm actually having my first fight this saturday. I'm sure you can imagine the little jitters before the fightI gotta say you really held your composure even after it seemed you might lose. BIG UPS on that. That composure factor is something that can't be taught so you'll do great in your next events. I'll post my first fight. Hope to see your advice
Definitely, and thank you for commenting. Good luck on your first fight and yes you will be getting the little jitters before it but that's normal. The main things I recommend for your first fight is to stay relaxed, think, stay tight, and listen to your coach. Those are the things I didn't really do. :P Good luck!
move.... gotta move... go into mask, parry the punch and jab, and dont swat the punches... When you go mask, get those elbows together... at about 2:20, your mask was wide open for a gut shot...
and when the guy is shooting at you like that, sit down... sit down sit down sit down and POP...
Good job, work on throwing your jab and bringing it back to your face... and work on nice straight punches... that kid in red woulda been down if you threw straight.
that was an entertaining fight. your up sides: you have good foot work, kept him in those corners. down sides: you have low stamina, you don't stick to your style. both thing's that you can work on and get over pretty easily. also don't be afraid to clinch if you have to (you only had a couple time's where you should have) but don't get carried away with them or you'll loose points, especially in amateur. all in all, great job!
whoop whoop good fight bro. Next time just make sure them hands stay up as well as change levels. BODY SHOTS BRO BODY SHOTS.. But Awesome Win!!! You the man!!! BTW loved that BIG left hook!! Rocked HIM!
does anybody know what u have to do to get into amateur boxing, cause im in a boxing class but i think it's only for a workout.........

And brawling is a legitimate fighting style, just like boxing is.

Never let your opponent hit you like that. Grab him and hold him as soon as he starts landing on you.
You need to keep tight and stay small.
