I understand why this game gets so much crap but at the same time I think half the stuff being said about the game is stupid.

This is the first time I've heard of people complaining about a short amount of stages. People actually cared about that stuff?

And don't even get me started on the whole Mai issue. Honestly, I'd rather see these people complaining about the online play than about the absence of a certain pair of breasts attached to a woman.

What do you think is better? Street Fighter? C'mon. That's been the same game since 91'.

Guilty Gear? Better than BB but still 1 of the biggest button mashers.

Tekken? If they fixed the way the battle flows out, then yeah it would be good.

Virtua Fighter? Okay you got me there. I guess if kof and VF had to share the title, kof would still get best 2d and VF would get best 3d fighter.

And by saying all fighting games are empty, I mean they are only good for Versus. Other stuff is unneeded.

I'm an avid pc / console fighting gamer (though i'm not that good ^^) and i can tell you that:

Blazblue is more enjoyable than Guilty Gear.

Tekken 6 is prob the best tekken ever and the most popular fighting game for 3d fighting.

Super Street fighter IV is one of the most popular / best fighting game i have ever played nuff said

Virtua fighter is excellent (although not that popular)

Other titles to look at :

MK 9 (mortal kombat's back !)

MVC 3

King of fighters XIII

kof12 is more-or-less a graphic re-birth of the kof series. You can expect a much better product in kof 13.

I agree with you. I bought this game and I was so hype. Mainly because the passed few fighters that have come out have been soo much fun to play with. This one felt like it had a lack of depth.

Btw is this a beta? I see certain HUD gauges are missing...

I played it "ish", and there's no substance to this game. The art is nice but that's it. I'm really not impressed, it doesn't fit with the past fighters that came out...sadly.

They should've added Mai, Takuma, King and Kasumi to keep it close to classic but i don't mind throwing Geese (even though he's dead???) Tizoc ( he and Raiden would make an awesome team) Gato, Oswald,Eiji,Vanessa,Ramon and Shingo come on SNK 20 plus is too short a number for a KOF Roster.

Even though KOF 2000 didn't look as good as Capcom vs SNK 2 it still played better. CvS2 had one big problem. Character balance was lacking. I'm particularly pointing at Nakoruru and Haohmaru. I can walk through the game with the two of them and I've never been a decent SS player. What kills me is the lack of characters in 12. Where's Vanessa??? ToT
