Jeremy broke his promise that he would never menion the accident again on the show, ever. During season 18, episode 1, Jeremy said something about how he felt about Hammond doing the top speed (fastest they could go) run in their supercars, referring to this very accident.

I just want to say that I love this show, and all of the guys on it. Hammond is of course my favorite, for two reasons, one, he's SOOOOOOOO cute! Two, he loves Porches(as do I)

That being said, I am very glad he survived this horrific incident, and that he is back to good health

Richard shows tremendous character and poise! It makes me happy that he was able to make a full recovery.

This is a great example of why the U.K. show works so well. The guys are able to take biting comments about very personal matters without breaking stride or getting their feelings hurt. Their credibility with the viewer isn't damaged by a little jesting because of the self confidence they show and we continue to buy the products they endorse.

There was a huge accident. My grandfather (Dad's side) would of said it was his own fault, but ti was purely mechanical error. Glad he made it out ok.
