Guys, this ending suggests that even though Jayden quit the tripto by flushing it down the toilet, it still effected his brain permanently by altering reality with the Ari. So for me this is the second worst ending for jayden, after that other one where he over doses on tripto, and the best is when he resigns the FBI
I've read somewhere that there was a shortened version of this ending: if Norman doesn't take tripto at all (including the Mad Jack fight) then the epilogue simply ends after he flushes it away. Never tested this myself, though.
actually, this IS the best ending for Norman. if you didn't take the triptocaine at all during the game, the scene where he uses the ARI and the virtual tank shows up won't be shown.
@50033836 You do know that those tanks aren't real? Seriously, Nahman goes up against Mad Jack, Origami killer armed with a katana etc. Yet somehow small little tanks scare the hell out of him? I also don't see how this is permanent and its just fucking hilarious that he's scared of something small, comic relief in other words.
For some reason, I laughed when I saw Norman being intimidated by those small little tanks. Don't know why people don't get the humor in this epilogue.
When the tv show host was bestowing all the lavish titles, I was almost dead certain they were going to introduce that asshole Blake as the "national hero"
@leumasramlu9 he actually has 2 good endings one he saves madison and kills shelby and two he fights shelby on a convayer belt i know its spelt wrong and he wins the fight
@Ryuk45 If you use ARI too much in the puzzle solving parts, Jayden will start to bleed from his eyes and nose and eventually die. It's kinda gross and creepy. :D
Even if it is "brain damage", i think that is a good ending. Now he can use it's "data tecnology" to solve cases without the need of glasses, what means that he doesn't needs to use tryptocaine anymore.
He won, he found the true killer, but it came at a cost.
The ARI will burn itself into your head. It's kinda like when your parents tell you not to sit too close to the TV or the computer screen?
Amplify that 50 times, and you get, "Don't use the ARI too much, or you'll start seeing crazy shit."
From what I understand, Tripto nullifies the brain-altering effects, but, as Norman has shown, can be abused. I think, however, this is caused by a lack of taking it.
@Maggot99294 Well I'm sorry it isn't all jumping around, shooting random people in the street like SOME games (gta4 for example) but it's more of a game with an actual, good storyline, some people just can't handle that.
Shitty plot holes. It makes more logical sense that Norman's use of so much Triptocaine would start to affect his mind. I can't see how ARI could be the cause.
The technology was VERY useful, it wouldn't take as much searching as it normally would in order to find evidence. I'm pretty sure they would have also advised them to not use it too much. Norman probably disregarded this and used whenever he thought he needed to which caused him to hallucinate, become dizzy, etc. This, in turn, lead to his drug problems.
Just because something is dangerous doesn't mean that they're not going to use it.
@mankyman6 Wasn't like a prototype too? So Ethan was just testing it out up until he had to use triptocaine? If triptocaine helps then why are the side effects worse then the stuff it's preventing? Is that why Norman tries to quit so much, to try and deal with ARI side effects. Too bad we won't know for sure due to no more dlc.
No, he started tripping out because he hadn't taken any tripto in a while. That's why, when he's in his hotel room, he starts tripping out. You have to try and resist the tripto because, even though it helps his hallucinations, it is unhealthy.
Norman had hallucinations not cuz of ARI but because of his chronic Triptocaine usage. I think this is the best ending cuz he was my favorite but also cuz he was so driven to bring killer's to justice. The Origami Killer case is closed but there are other monsters out there and Norman Jayden is gonna shut 'em down.
Guy's a hero but he has got his wounds. Ain't nobody got outta this lookin' pretty. Except for Ethan of course, he saved his son, fell in love and started life anew. Norman is hailed as a hero, but got burned pretty badly it seems. I think he's just going through Tripto withdrawal.
Saw this ending for Jayden last night. Madison and Jayden were at the warehouse; however, Jayden killed Scott. Gave up on solving the puzzle with the ARI also.
My first thought was "AWESOME! Now he doesn't even need the glasses to use ARI!" Unfortunately, it's not new superpower, but in fact brain damage. Bummer.
@manicmuffin I'd say hallucinations as part of withdrawal symptoms. He did, after all, htrow some drug in the toilet, which would mean quitting cold turkey. Any addictive medication would have withdrawal symptoms.
@pinoykearo I never used it and still got this ending. Though there is a scene where Jayden uses it and you have no option to do otherwise. It's when Blake tells him to go because the case is closed.
Did you use Triptocaine (that drug) or not? That are also 2 different endings but almost the same. When used (i thought more than one's) you get sideeffects when turning of the glasses but when you didn't you us it you don't get that. But I don't know or this is the side effect or something else.
Um... Why is he going through invisible files, when we see him in the ARI-generated environment? And why is he doing it on his old police desk (it even has the traces of dust that he didn't completely wipe off in one of the chapters)? Oh, developers, good job with being lazy near the end.
That's what i alwayst thought but according to Heavy Rain wiki that part of the ending onlt occurs if u took the triptocane atleast once which means its a side effect from it
