I remember when this first came out, I came home from school to this and was immediately hyped for it. The trailer was awesome and Classic Sonic made so much speculation and hype. The more info slowly being revealed excited me even more. Honestly though, I was expecting a LOT more story. The story was so small and pointless it might as well not even be there.
@evafenix1 The generations history says that the time is with problems and looks like the old time is freezing . So modern sonic and classic sonic gonna save the past and the present . :P
@evafenix1 Don't know if you've seen it yet, or not, but there's a Gamespot video which presents the stage select design. The theme is a huge white space, with small hub worlds (based on the different zones in the game) placed throughout. It's pretty cool. You move through the white space to get to the different levels.

Sega makes and publishes their games on multiple consoles, they are a third party developer and they are not associated with Nintendo since they make games on other consoles, Game Freak which develops the Pokemon games would be considered an association with Nintendo, and that's also an example of a 2nd party developer. Nintendo is a 1 party developer since they make consoles and games.

Might as well get the 20th anniversary sonic bundle on the psn for $20, my sonic the hedgehog 2 game expired and sadly i wasnt able to finish the game to get all of the trophies. The first and 2 other games are a bonus.

@123flame3 Wrong, Modern Sonic wears classic shoes with a buckle and rubber bottom. The first Sonic Adventure proves this. I can't stand people who base all Sonic games off Adventure 2. He used Soap shoes in that game for advertisement.
In MY opinion Sonic games went downhill ever since sonic adventure 2 battle was released and they brought out all the new ones like unleashed or 06 but seing this i think sega finally grew some sanity back in them

I think the reason why people like SA1,2 and SH is because those games are like classic sonic games as in you start in a light hearted pace and in the end you end up running on airships in space or at least high in the sky, although SA2 was a dark sonic game it had classic elements. As did SH although in SH you have to control 3 characters at once you it still has a classic level feel to it as well where as Shadow the hedgehog was like the apocalypse and in Sonic06 Sonic dies.

@Blackiechu25 I see myself as a true Sonic fan as well. I liked all of the Sonic games up to now. There are some complaints I have (Shadow the Hedgehog story and Sonic Next Gen. glitches) but nothing I would lose all faith in the Blue Blur. I also collect Sonic comics but that's for another day.
I just want to let you know that there are others that enjoy Sonic games old and new and while there are those who say he's gone down the tube, there are us who can enjoy Sonic on any of his adventures:)
Look here, this game's coming out so don't deny it. Also, the only reason SEGA made Sonic Adventure was because they had to compete with other 3d games. When their game became a big hit, they probably didn't want to go back to 2D Pixel graphics because 3D games became so popular back then. Sure, SEGA messed up a lot, but that doesn't mean they didn't try hard; they just got stuck in a terrible loop in designing Sonic's games. This is likely the game we've been waiting for. SO GET OFF THEIR BACK!

@AnimeWithGORE I wont lie, the cutscenes were somewhat well polished...somewhat... but lets think back to the days where the story didn't matter and it was the gameplay that counts. Thats where 06 lacks.
I think the argument you brought here is conflicting because it really is based on opinion. Sure, there are the some that do enjoy games that are story logged a bit TOO much in my opinion and at the age I played Sonic 06 it gave me a headache....

@Blackiechu25 I see myself as a true Sonic fan as well. I liked all of the Sonic games up to now. There are some complaints I have (Shadow the Hedgehog story and Sonic Next Gen. glitches) but nothing I would lose all faith in the Blue Blur. I also collect Sonic comics but that's for another day.
I just want to let you know that there are others that enjoy Sonic games old and new and while there are those who say he's gone down the tube, there are us who can enjoy Sonic on any of his adventures:)

Look here, this game's coming out so don't deny it. Also, the only reason SEGA made Sonic Adventure was because they had to compete with other 3d games. When their game became a big hit, they probably didn't want to go back to 2D Pixel graphics because 3D games became so popular back then. Sure, SEGA messed up a lot, but that doesn't mean they didn't try hard; they just got stuck in a terrible loop in designing Sonic's games. This is likely the game we've been waiting for. SO GET OFF THEIR BACK!

I like Sonic The Hedgehog (that sonic game with silver, elise and etc) I think that's the best sonic game EVA!!! the cutscenes aren't those " a picture in the screen talkin, and press x for next and that stuff" I LOVED AND I STILL LOVE THAT GAME Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 FTW

@AnimeWithGORE I wont lie, the cutscenes were somewhat well polished...somewhat... but lets think back to the days where the story didn't matter and it was the gameplay that counts. Thats where 06 lacks.
I think the argument you brought here is conflicting because it really is based on opinion. Sure, there are the some that do enjoy games that are story logged a bit TOO much in my opinion and at the age I played Sonic 06 it gave me a headache....
