I know the AI could be improved with very little effort, its just a joke..

If you had ever used the Arma 2 editor you would know simply placing a waypoint for an air unit would make it take off first and then circle the area. This is just a small glitch that happens if you put a jet on the runway facing the wrong direction.

Don't know why he would do that. The AI in ArmA 2 automaticly take off without problems. This has never happened to me.. but I've never stood in the middle of the runway in front of a harrier though.

This looks staged, what just happened is easy to do, you set a waypoint on the runway in the editor, then you create another waypoint in the woods and have it turned to FULL speed, and the A.I will follow the waypoints exactly resulting in it's inevitable death.

No, the AI are independent thinking. If you set a waypoint in a bush whilst a plane is on a runway, it will take off, and then fly to the waypoint whilst airborne.

This happens when you put an AI jet on the wrong side of the runway.

I have a lot of problems with AI and fixed wing aircraft. Especially C-130, in which they almost never make it off the ground. They either run off the end of the runway and hit trees, or they bank hard right after takeoff and never gain any altitude and hit trees with their wing tips and blow up.
