actually, he is in the wild now - we released them in the spring, though they do still hang around the institute. i agree that wild animals should be free, but i also value the knowledge that can be gained through scientific study. We did not take the birds to have pets, but to learn about them...
@drewbird07 I found a crow that fell out of the next and couldn't fly about 2 weeks ago. It has a slight curve at the end of her beak so I think it's female. I have it bu don't know how to release it back. I know they are amazing. My question is that if i set her cage outside and let her practice flying will the other crows accept her back? Is there anything I need to know about age for release or anything? I'm a traveler and not equipt for a pet of any kind.
listen to the self righteous idiot posting their soapbox speech about animals in the wild while she didn't even bother to see if this was an institute that released or rehabilitated birds. lol you're my hero...lol
@Jujutsuka4LIfe It never fails. Videos of birds interacting with humans always draw screeching animal rights nutjobs like flies to honey.
There's a video ("Ravenmania - Nevermore!") of a wild raven that hangs out at a guy's house. One person attacked the video author, accusing him of animal abuse and that he needs to burn in Hell ... because his hand was briefly visible.
Is it so much to ask for a video free of idiots yelling "ANIMAL ABUSE BIRDS SHOULD NOT BE PETS I HOPE YOU DIE" ... ?

Hey-- Here in Holland stupid pork breeders think they eat pork food, they kill them by chasing the mother away and leaving them to die outside.
I adopted 2, one was too sick and died, the other one, I took care of him until he made some friends and left with them.
