  • cruetly free method thats hillarious

  • Fruit flys are NOT the same as gnats. Come to the southeast. You'll meet real gnats.

  • Hang around your bannans thats what she said

  • Red wine didn't work for me... how red does it have to be? :/

Or did I use too much dishsoap...? Or what... aww...

  • Thanks so much! :D

  • Doesn't bleach and vinegar make cholarine gas? Although at this point maybe gasing myself is the best way to go, rather than deal with these little bastards.

  • I've tried red wine. It does work. My fruit flies have greatly diminished in 1 day

  • @TheJennycococure FRUIT FLY BARPRO.....NEW PRODUCT....CRAZY!!! WATCH THE VIDEO!!

  • i used two drops of dish soap too...

  • how long does your method take...i tried applecider vinegar and soap....doesnt work...over 24 hours i caught about 6...i still have the cloud of 100 flying around

  • i have 20 fruit flies my dad so mad he want rid of it but he want to know where come from any one know

  • if someone told me to not kill fruit flies id punch them in the fucking throat

  • @theantidentite right on brother!

  • @theantidentite

Is that how you always deal with people who disagree with you? You must have an exciting social life.

  • haha im in my residenceright now tryin to get rid of these dam things!

  • Wow this worked ! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

  • they're flies WHO CARES lol

  • This works great i killed a lot of fruit flies, thanks for the fruit fly killing bowl.

  • THank you so much for this video my God!!! I opened up the kids bathroom and the whole toilet was covered with this things I was like ahhhhhhh so I will do this tonight

  • My girl loves this!! She said its amazing how fast it works.

  • is red wine vinagaer effective 2?

  • I can't stand those tiny bugs heck they make you itch and there always in your face! I hope this get's rid of these pests!

  • KILL THEM!

  • The trap is set and we are waiting to catch the little buggers! Thanks for the idea.

  • I tried this today and it's not working! I'm using new Apple Cider and dish soap. They're pretty bad right now and all over my kitchen. I put out 3 bowls of this, and they're crawling all over the sides of the bowls but I haven't killed one!

They seem to be attracted to plastic surfaces tho.

Does anyone know if sticky fly paper works?

  • @YourPhilOfCanada Did you use apple cider or Apple Cider Vinegar? It works with the apple cider vinegar. Also, only use a little drop or two of soap - if there's too much dish soap then it does not work as well.

Give it a couple hours and see how it goes. Best of luck.

  • @mwrightmsu Hi, yes I am using Apple Cider Vinegar, but I might be using too much dish soap. I'll try it again with less. I have quite a serious problem, and I've put out 5 dishes. I've since killed about 2 dozen or more, but it's barely put a dent in the situation. I think I need to resort to something more drastic.

But thanks for your suggestion. I'll try it again overnight.

  • @YourPhilOfCanada It's not just the apple cider drawing it in. It's gottas have vinegar. For some reason they love vinegar. Apple cider vinegar works best.

  • @kichan Thanks kichan. I tried a LOT of different things (including vinegar)... and eventually I cleared them out. I also used sticky strips hung from the ceiling.

  • @YourPhilOfCanada ha ha - apple cider - great job on following instructions on how to make fruit flies multiply and live harmoniously with you - i'm being sarcastic by the way

  • Thanks a mil this really is working!!!

  • Is the apple cider you purchased diluted? I bought the walmart brand and it wasn't catching anything. I looked at the label and it says its diluted. I'm guessing that is why it didn't work. I'm going to have to buy the expensive brand. Or maybe balsamic vinegar.

  • save the flies man

  • i heard if you clean your house from time to time that prevents the infestation of fruit flies...

  • try RAID ant & roach spray, it'll kill em quick !

  • Only apple cider vinegar works? I'm guessing because it's, fairly sweet and the flies get attracted to it. Does balsamic work?

  • fly's are like that cunt at work except you try and kill flies

  • Why isnt it working for me? I haven't caught one!

  • @TheEvilPuppy I'd check to be sure you have fairly new APPLE CIDER vinegar....regular white vinegar wont do it. Also, it has to be dish soap, not hand soap. Other than that I'd see how much soap you are putting in...if too much is in it isnt as effective. Just one to two drips in a smaller bowl should do it.

Try again and good luck!!!! I hope it works out.

  • My Great Auntie loves to keep fresh fruit in her fruit bowl on the kitchen table. The fruit flies came and took over. I just watched your video and ran to Acme to get some apple cider vinegar, and I did what you said and I can see they're flocking to it in droves. Thank you for posting! This was a very helpful video...

  • were they come from cuz evry summer they come

  • they are not attracted to apple cider vinegar, didn't get 1.

  • I wonder what you would be promoted to in Call of Duty if you showed them that bowl.

  • Thanks so much! I'm a college kid and after some discouragement from attempting to systematically kill them one by one I stumbled upon this video. Extremely effective, however I used fruit juice vs. vinegar. Also, for any PETA people- All the flies in my abode died a horrible, slow, painful death having the dish soap they ingested melt their internal organs. I enjoyed every single morally justified minute of it :D Oh, and get a job!

  • Thank you so much. I'm a college kid and I had these things like the plague. After I grew discouraged attempting to systematically kill them one by one I came across your method which was extremely effective. I however just used fruit juice instead of cider. Also, for any PETA people out there, all the fruitflies I had died a slow painful death by having there internal organs melted by dish soap. I enjoyed every morally justified minute of it, and there's nothing you can do about it :D

  • Awesome I think this method might work for me...i just need to get rid of them as fast as I can cause there everywhere!!

  • people leave this person alone she's trying to help others, what are you in high school again grow -up and stop being so cruel.. and remember karma is a bitch and it will come back to your door step!!!!

  • O how long have you been there for? And what other languages do you speak?

  • This worked great, thank you :)

  • BICH WHY THE FUK CANT I USE NORMAL VINIGAR FUK U

  • I'd like to make one suggestion. Why doesn't she just get to the point? Takes too long to do the video. This whole thing about the "cruelty" comments is ridiculous. Ppl are dying everyday and murdered. How about focusing on that?

  • @sbelle1965 I know what you mean! It's impossible to skip ahead in YouTube videos, and this gun to my head keeps me from just finding a new video, so I was stuck sitting there, watching the whole video! Please, if you don't enjoy the video or if you think the video is too long, just skip ahead or skip completely. You could see the length of the video before you ever started to watch it.

  • I agree. Anyone that thinks it's animal abuse should have these things swarming around them non stop. Furthermore, why don't you focus more on saving the lives of humans? Fruit flies are not animals anyway. They are insects. Lol

  • Bud light seems to work

  • dear god man! thats just too cruel :)

    @roncero26

  • MURDERER!

  • simply amazing. in a matter of moments i cant feel and see these things just swarming around me and this concoction. thanks so much for posting this.

  • Great video

  • its ok i tride it but thin it was only 3. but i have a beter way i youst saltwater and i got 50.

  • Fruit Juice and dish soap works really well too. That's what I've been doing and it's super effective.

  • lol my house is just fine. hahahahahaha. I know you pal you must be going into berserka mode right now.......... lol :0

  • seems very useful, i am definitely going to use this method. Thank you so much!

  • Thanks so much! Can't wait to be rid of them!!! Off to buy some apple cider vinegar right this minute!!!!!

  • There are fruit flies all in my tortoises tank X.x what should i do?

  • I do Not want to save these flies.. thanks so much for this.. We were going crazy

  • How long do u have to wait

  • I had so many fruit flies in my kitchen and they really started to piss me off!!!! I landed on your video and I tried it and it works!!!! You totally kick ass!!! Thanks.

  • Thank u so much for the video, I starting using this stuff and it works GREAT!!!

  • 5 minutes after doing this... they are sitting on the edge of the bowl... wow

    Thanks!

  • Omg Ty. This will totally help. I've spent Like 2hrs just now smacking fruit flies. Because I had old onions down stairs and they got attracted and when we put them out side they all flew into my room and bath room. So this will help a lot. Thank you.

  • what kind of world do we live in when some making a video has to apoligize for killing fruit flies????

  • Our European Fruit Flies are so thick, they drown in the vinegar without us having to add soap!

  • Oh nice, I LOVE THIS IDEA !!

  • ohh my gosh thaank you!!! my goodness i live with pigs and this has helped tremendously!!! THAANNKK YOUUUU

  • Yes

  • would surup work with red wine

  • Thanks so much for posting this, this is awesome!

  • @parans I'm so glad it worked for you!

  • After watching your video, I went to work and set up the remedy you mentioned and it worked so well. We have not had any major fruit fly issues since. All the residents and my co workers, are so happy. Thank you very much!

  • Cut a 2L pop bottle in half, and put some fruit juice, pop, w/e is sugary and put the top in upside down, making sure there are no gaps. Leave it an area where there are lots of them and they go nuts for it. They climb in but can't get out. So, it kills them if you leave them, or if your a fly freak, lol, you can let them go. Not the MOST effective, this would probably work just as well, but it does work if you don't have apple cider vinegar, etc.

    Happy trapping. :)

    And thanks for the tips.

  • has anyone done this with balsamic vinegar?

  • Great tip thanks!!....Fruit flies are not ANIMALS they are insects and in my case pests!!! lol

  • thankyou :D

  • how is this animal abuse their stupid fly's oh if u don't have apple cider our wine use any type of vinger add sugar and ac-couple drops of dish soap

  • a light bulb in one of my rooms that I don't use went out and I didn't replace it for 1 year. one day I changed the bulb and the room turned into a forest of fruit flies. i thought I was in a horror movie. tens of thousands.

  • OK the apple cider vinegar and soap worked, but they r in my kitchen drain so everytime I open the drin to let water out I get more? HELP??

  • @tMACEsi You can put this mixture in your drain as well. The flies will fly down to the "trap" area of the plumbing and drown. I'm not sure how long you would have to remember to not use the water. Maybe an hour would be enough.

  • Now, what if you don't have apple cider vinegar? I'm in Korea (teaching English fyi) and I'm not so sure it is readily available. You said red wine could work. Are there any other things that might work? Thanks for making the video nonetheless.

  • @mbrown187 So far I just know of the vinegar and the wine but if you hear of another method let me know and enjoy your time in Korea!

  • @mbrown187 Hi are you still in Korea? Do you know korean?

  • @betsabe3000 Hi, yeah I am in Korea. And I can speak very basic and I know how to read the writing pretty well. 감사함니다

  • @betsabe3000 O ! How long have u been staying at Korea? Do you speak any other languages? I am learing Korean all on my own. It is easyer because I watch a whole lot of k-dramas n listen to k-pop music. I also go to google translate.

  • @mbrown187 i've been looking and they have said beer works too.

  • If there are really animal rights people upset over killing fruit flies, those crazy people should have a house full of them and have to deal with them for a while. A few days and they'll be like me. If I can just kill ONE AT A TIME I consider that a victory that I sent one of those suckers to fruit fly hell!! Thanks for uploading this. Will be trying this today. It's me or the fruit flies. One of us is gonna have to go.

  • thank you ladie i luv you

  • omg, im so gonna try this.

    i cant stand these bastards!

    they deserve death!

  • wow some of these comments are so funny i haven't laughed so hard in a while haha

  • ANIMAL ABUSE?! Those "things" fly into my ear when I'm sleeping!! If anything, I get the best orgasms when I kill one.

  • LOL animal rights people. over fruit flies hmm. It also work with normal vinager and some juice. prune or apple......

  • Keep the garbage disposal opening covered to keep the flies from breeding in there to start with also helps.

  • I put some Red Wine in a glass over night and they did not fly into it. any idea how long this will take. I put it into a tall jam jar on the counter.....?

  • bug fogger kills fruit flies too

  • Apple juice works well also.

  • It's absolutely true about the red wine. When ever I had fruit flies in the kitchen, I could be in the basement with a glass of red wine and they would seek it out.

  • Comment removed

  • i know if you spray them in midair with hairspray it makes their wings stick and they fall down lol but this is a better idea

  • these bastards seem to appear out of nowhere

  • lol animal abuse. Anyone who wants to "save the flies" is crazy.

  • @chrychek Bring on the cruelty!

  • @chrychek I agree but when I first posted this tip...you'd be shocked how many people out there wanted to give me a hard time about it. Oh well...guess you can never please everyone but I'm glad there are some of us who have better things to do than "save the flies" :) Thanks for watching!

  • @mwrightmsu yah athey are prolific and very destructive and very very annoying

  • @chrychek ppl who want tosave flies are asses

  • @dapheny1000 lol I agree!

  • @chrychek LOL Humanoid abuse. Any alien who wants to "save the humanoids" is crazy. Not that I'm that serious but, we could all be flies on something's last nerve right now. :P

  • Pour a small amount of bleach in your dish drains also, they likr to hang out there

  • I think that the existence of people who actually find the notion of killing fruit flies unacceptable has GOT to be an urban myth. (Unless perhaps one is a Tibetan monk observing Buddhism VERY strictly, but I doubt that fruit flies even occur at altitudes averaging 16,000 ft., so screw the fruit flies.) I mean to survive, one has to turn off the empathy at SOME point: how long would a Vegan last if stuck in the wilderness with no food, supplies or imminent rescue? Have some EGGS, already!

  • Can you use a diffent type of soap???

  • where do u buy vinegar

  • @popstarpup I bought the vinegar at my local grocery store...they have it most places. :)

  • gnats and fruit flies are not the same. i know it's not important though.

what's animal cruelty? does that apply to insects, um...hell no. if you want to subject yourself to infestation at the sake of your health...just keep that shit in your house.

then, you come staggering over to my home infected with some horrible flesh chomping disease...and i don't open the door. what kind of cruelty is that? all because you wanted to save some disease carrying insects.

    good luck. elitist.

  • ANYONE,AND I MEAN ANYONE WHO IS OPPOSED TO KILLING BUGS NEEDS TO GET A SWIFT BOOT UP THEIR RECTUM,SLAPPED AROUND,WATER BOARDED,TORTURED.THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE(IDIOTS) ARE WHATS SCREWING UP THIS COUNTRY.THESE SAME PEOPLE WOULD OPPOSE WATER BOARDING EVEN IF IT MEANT SAVING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF LIFES BECAUSE A TERRORIST KNOWS WHERE AND WHEN A BRIEFCASE SIZE NUCLEAR BOMB WILL GO OFF IN A AMERICAN CITY.THAT IS A FACT !

  • don't ever apologize for killing fruit flies

  • does it have to be apple syder vinager... caould i use normal apple syder

  • Worked for me! Took a few days but most of them are gone now. I hate those suckers!

  • this worked so well for me...i placed multiple bowls out in the kitchen and 90% of them were dead within a couple of hours

  • this worked so well for me...i placed multiple bowls out in the kitchen and 90% of them were dead within a couple of hours

  • im trying it tonight, i'll update in the morning...red wine and vinegar and dish soap..lets see if it works!

  • @sfreedom2007 It works, you probably did something (in this extremely small process) wrong.

  • @sfreedom2007 i just killed them all with my sandal..you can even kill them while they're flying

  • @sfreedom2007 What type of soap did you use? Was it dish soap or hand soap...for some reason hand soap doesn't work. It has to be the apple cider vinegar and only a few tiny drops of soap, if there is too much i've also heard it wont work. Good luck!

  • thanks!

  • my mom and i just use our hands, or sometimes i use a towel and wack'em. i hate when they get in your face so annoying lol ^_^

  • These drive me insane!

  • I dont have any sort of vinegar in my house and want to get rid of them as soon as possible!

...So just to clarify, Red wine will definalty work? Aswell as the soap can I put in some hot water too, so I can clear the colour of the Wine a bit so I can actually see the flies at the bottom?

  • Lovely manicure!

  • @Dardango Thank you!

  • actually normal vinegar works perfectly fine too

  • awesome, awesome!!! Thanks so much!!!!

  • @1likestoplaymusic You are welcome - good luck!

  • @1likestoplaymusic You are welcome - good luck!

  • Ive done this before and it works. I used white rice vinegar though.... still worked. Something else that works well but it a little less effective is: making a home-made flame thrower.

  • thanks so much! i bought 4 packs of bannas and fruit flys were all over them. i tried this and 1 hour later, they were all dead. now i can eat my bannas free of flys

  • This ONLY kills the flies, it does NOT get rid of them.

  • I enjoyed your tips....I have mixed orange juice and soya sauce and even put a alice of apple in the mixture..then wrapped the top with plastci wrap and punched tiny holes in the top with a tooth pick..it works..I do have to kill them or set them free so I am going to try yours so I don't need to kill them myself. thanks

  • i saw online that ppl add some water so that there's bubbles....do u think that works better? coz that's what ive been doing..

  • @loony10 I havent heard of adding water for bubbles...it worked fine with just the vinegar and soap so I never deviated but if it works for you then keep it up! :)

  • they're on my kitchen Cuboards. I think i'm going to give this a try today

  • This is awful you murder! Just kidding. Im a guy who has his own apartment. Was looking for a way to get rid of these gnats just need some apple vinegar then. Thanks

  • This is AWESOME!! Within 5 mins they were all after it and at least 10 of them were already in the liquid!!!

  • what if there is no fruit?

  • im pretty sure if you just buy a lizard you wont have to worry about fruit flies too much :D

  • just kill them with your flip flop thats what i do ALL THE TIME TRUST ME IT REALLY WORKS 100% LMFAO :)

  • Thank you so much for the rip.

  • @njurbina You are welcome! That's one of the best tips my Mom taught me when I was younger.

  • those bitches ate my bananas!

  • Comment removed

  • @imsoterriblybored hilarious haha

  • this is a good idea ...

  • kill those f*ckin flies

  • I fill a bottle with alcohol n spray them they drop from the sky. I know fresh squeezed lemon works too

  • fruit flies dont deserve a cruelty-free method.... they deserve the most painful death imaginable. i hate those bastards, I'm a Vegan and against animal cruelty but enough is enough. I'm tired of them biting the shit outta me! :)

  • @SlateSteel I didnt know they bite!!!! =/ Yuck!

  • @SlateSteel

    ...they bite?... D: OMFG

  • @SlateSteel lol I totally agree. ive been battling this little F**kers for months now.... they had a lot of my house taken over in the beginning but now they are in full retreat... I still see them though !@!

  • @SlateSteel I know they keep me up at night and they really piss me off

  • @SlateSteel SPEak da truth

  • There's no point in letting them go. They dumb things only live for a day. So just kill them before they infest your home!
