  • Coheed and cambria Rule

  • Took a long time but this album has grown on me and I am now captivated. This song kicks ass as does 99% of all Coheed and Cambria music. Ready for more.

  • is anyone else wondering how there can be a black rainbow just saying

  • @tyleelovesyou read the book bud.

    ***SPOILLLLLERRRRRRRRRR*****!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SPOIILLLLERRRRRRRR

    SPOILERRRRRRr

The black rainbow is not an atmospheric event, more of a cosmic anomally. It is named the rainbow but is more of a void to mark "God's" anger at the neglegence of man and the Prise against Wilhelm Ryan.

  • @tyleelovesyou

The Black Rainbow is a metaphor for neutrality and choice.

That's what Claudio said during an interview.

  • Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah blah ;)

  • 34 people are broken...:)

  • occupy copyrights and wrongs.

    ALL WILL BE REVEALED

  • blah blah blah blaaah bla blah.

  • I saw Coheed and Cambria last summer, they opened for Metallica and it was fucking perfect. Seeing them after listening to them since grade 7 was definitely a highlight, but they had nothing on Metallica :P

  • @michaelsutherland18 I was there too man, Fucking amazing concert.

  • Welcome Home is my favorite and this song to, I'm sorry i cant find any other song that they made that i liked

  • @Masterboo22 In keeping secrets? Juggernaught? Crowing? I mean these are the more main stream but they are reallly good

  • @kwood320 I didn't find out about those till after I posted that

  • i remember when i first heard this song, i couldn't stop smiling. then i found out they were coming to the city, so it was even better!!! i'll never regret my tattoo. <3

  • it's really annoying, i can't find the second stage turbine blade anywhere, can someone confirm that it is actually an album by coheed and cambria. thanks :)

  • @bleerrgghhhh It is most definitely a Coheed album...

  • @Seraphblood thanks. :) now i just need to find it.

  • it sounds allgood to me all the new rocks songs from other bands all sound like beach music or the same as eachother this 1 has originality + meaningful lyrics 2 keys of a song

  • Something is totally wrong with this song.

  • @rutwicksees its probly u

  • Guys, the most popular these guys get, the bettter for THEM. Really, they deserve more than the "underground scene," they are fucking awesome. \m/

  • 666 tenso

  • I just can't get into their new stuff, it sounds too different to me

  • @letitberandom really? i'm totally the opposite, i feel like they just get better and better.... lol

  • ohh yeaah baby! :D

just 3 more weeks so i can see them LIVE in Mexico! :D

so sad not many people know them here but daaamn... im their fan since 2008

  • @xXg0d0fWarXx since 2002 baby :P

  • yall faggots gtfo. coheed rocks, stop trying to justify the fact that you wish you could be claudio but cant. im sorry your absentee father left your mother just so he could rape you. its not the bands fault, its yours.

  • Just because a band is mainstream, doesn't mean they're bad. Just because the band suddenly gained a whole heap of fans, and is playing big shows, does not mean they are "sell outs".

  • it pains me that you guys are still hung up on Welcome Home and Rockband, as if there is a better way to become a fan. Ive been a fan since year one, and Welcome Home is what they needed to push them some what on the frontlines. If it wasnt for Welcome Home then there would have been no Neverender tour and no armory wars. You guys are crazy to shit on people for liking the band through a video game. What does it matter if you started listening yesterday or ten years ago? Good is good, period!

  • @PeskyRools1 Actually it's The Amory Wars and that was started before Welcome Home. Due to the comic books. just sayin. But yeah Coheed is a magnificent band.

  • @randomtwinkie94 There was the Bag.On.Line Adventures of Coheed and Cambria, but the Amory Wars didn't start until after that. They only just finished IKS, so they really haven't been around for that long.

  • @PeskyRools1 i have no problem with the people that discovered coheed through welcome home. what i hate is the people that claim to be huge fans of the band when the only song theyve ever heard is welcome home. it makes me angry that they think they qualify as a "fan" when theyve only heard one band

  • @PeskyRools1 yah welcome home kinda suck hahaha compared to the rest !

  • @PeskyRools1 Twisted metal is how I started listening to Rob Zombie. Run like Hell was the first time I heard Breaking Benjamin. People shouldn't hate... we find shit in different ways.

  • @PeskyRools1 (: agree I used ten speed as my group performance for gcse music... played bass, i know its one of the easiest songs on bass but still, this was almost three years ago :P welcome home is awesome though.

  • @PeskyRools1 THANK.YOU.

  • @PeskyRools1 could not agree more. I for one, found Coheed through Welcome Home as well. But not through rockband at first. Instead I was asked to sing Welcome Home for a rock show my sister's guitar teacher was doing. Some one else did it but I still listened to it. Then the next year I preformed the crowing and just started listening to them. They are a great band and while I didn't like this album at first, it grew on me. But you are right, who cares how, as long as you did come to know them

  • "If you cannot please everyone with your deeds and your art, please a few. To please many is bad."

  • @MrZandalphon i dont know what the fuck your talking about but im giving you thumbs up!

  • @MrZandalphon God. You're an idiot.

  • @xXmEtAlFaNxJxLx speaking of HMV thats where i first met Coheed <3

  • greatest band ever i would have to say who agrees with me they just open ur mind to new wonders of a dimension

  • I just fancied questioning that disclamer ... "no copyright infringment intended" how do you think that'll help? :S

  • i dont give a fuck what they were like before. i love every single song in every album. i cant complain theyre so good! i love coheed and cambria <3

  • it's good, but the guitars are too low

  • @x3Diego3x Its the audio quality of this video, which is awful.

  • @ConsumingFire39 That's not this video, this is what the actual album sounds like. Not really, but this album was so over-produced that it's not even funny. BRING BACK BIRNBAUM COHEED!!!

  • @n8lbs2010 No, you are completely wrong. The guitars are loud enough on the album, but the quality of this video is what he is complaining about. I understand if it was not your favorite mix but this is a terrible quality video.

  • @ConsumingFire39 Unfortunately, my copy of YOTBR is scratched all to hell, so I can't agree or disagree with you.

  • I like it better when his voice is higher :( but this song is still awesome! :D

  • I dont Know.... I like it

  • i have to say when i first found coheed 6 years ago i hated them :( i dont know what it was but one day i woke up and my now ex gf had second stage on and i just couldnt resist the sweet sweet sound of mr sanchez's voice anymore ive been hooked ever since.........hell they have taken the place of korn at the top of my list of bands.........the music never gets old no matter how much you listen to it!!

love this track, awesome upload :)

  • @corey66621 I KNOW exactly what you mean. I was the same way. they just suck you in, and once your in your in for good.

  • @StaticFromage He has done a lot of work on his vocals over the last year. Like you said, his upper range is not quite as high as it once was but his voice is getting better.

  • Badass picture.

  • I am not saying that Coheed have sold out, but i think a lot of the hardcore fans who listened to them from SSTB (and even during shabutie days) would agree that their sound has changed in a way that... as much as I hate to say it, just does not sound like the Coheed I remember. I get that they are a progressive band and blah but the sound they had in their earlier days was so much better than this. Coheed are a talented band that didn't high production to sound good and that is why they rocked.

  • @dude124353 Thats all down to roadrunner records, if it were coheeds choice, i doubt they'd put it in there.

  • @dude124353 Actually, I kinda they rock just as hard, if not more than they did in the past. But at least they didn't wimp out like Linkin fucking Park.

  • @dude124353 No band ever is. Its the way life is. Things change. But Coheed always will have its own stamp. To me, this stuff is just as good as their old stuff because Coheed doesnt make albums to compete against previous albums. Music should never be a competition. They make the best possible music they can.

If they didnt change, people would bitch that all their songs sound the same and that they have no creativity. You cant keep teh same sound forever without sounding old and repetitive.

  • @dude124353 Well the thing is that if a band wants to remain a great band, they are going to evolve and change from album to album. Take Rush for example. From Rush to Caress of Steel, there wasn't a lot of change. Not until albums like 2112, Hemispheres, and Permanent Waves did their sound change (especially through the 80s!). I would rather they kept it fresh, because trust me, we don't want Coheed to end up like AC/DC. Nothing wrong with AC/DC, I love 'em, it's just they got a bit monotonous.

  • @RushFanatic87 acdcs downfall was brian johnson, he has an interesting voice, but he just couldnt do much with it

  • @dude124353 Coheed is whatever they say they are. To me, that is the definition of someone NOT being a sell out... doing whatever they want to do no matter what anyone else thinks about it. Accepting your art as it is when you created it and not trying to mold it into something else trying fit someone else's expectations. People grow and change and your art/music reflects that change. Labeling yourself into one category for your whole life and never evolving isn't cool... it's just sad.

  • @dude124353 Oh, and with that said, I love every Coheed album for what each of them are. They all have awesome aspects. Each of them are different. That is what makes them awesome.

  • like this if you picked this because it wasnt VEVO.

  • @TheMadGravity imma like it so bad i disliked it

  • this album isn't mixed well IMO. it sounds too big and spacey. on earlier stuff everything was a lot more balanced....unless that's the effect they're going for. I'm not feelin it

  • @EpsilonX Well this particular video has awful quality. This is nowhere near the ablum sound.

  • @ConsumingFire39 well, all the songs i've heard from the album have a similar quality. I meant like, the vocals are turned up high, and i can never really quite hear the guitar, they sound really drowned out.

  • @EpsilonX I can hear what you are saying in a few songs, but again this version is nothing like the high quality one. In this song the guitar is very easy to hear on the album.

  • @ConsumingFire39 hmm. it could be a combination of my crappy laptop speakers, youtube, and the production, but i still think the production has a lot to do with it lol. I guess i'll never know til I actually listen to the cd though haha

  • @EpsilonX Yes, because this song is actually produced very well. I agree with you on some other songs though. This is just a very intricate layered song but sounds great with good sound and quality.

  • SO GOOD.

  • Trying to learn this. GOD it's so hard to sing and play this song at the same time. FUCK

  • @Solar2 It definitely is.

Can you play/sing any of these songs: No World For Tomorrow, Fuel For the Feeding End, From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, Everything Evil, When Skeletons Live, This Shattered Symphony, When Skeletons Live, Guns of Summer? I have not even tried a lot of them but they seem like they would be nightmares.

  • Bands with this much talent don't HAVE to sell out.

    Rock on Coheed. <3

  • I like it. It follows a story line. It's intelligent. Listen to the tempo changes, the bass lines. Quit complaining all you Marilyn Manson kids and sell out Metalica fans.

  • hahaha people say "OMG THEY SOLD OUT" about every band after every single album they release.

    People can't stand change.

  • if i could turn my shit into the form of a song... this song would be my shit

  • @french4menotu that must have been an epic beast of a shit

  • As people grow, mature and change, so does their music, it's not them selling out, just them expressing what they're going through now and where they're at. The same as Picasso had his different period s in art, so do musicians.

  • Coheed and Cambria, a sellout?? Far from it! Their songs are definitely not mainstream, but they are good enough to attract a huge audience. Their music is just so RAW, it's addicting.

  • @temporarilynocturnal well all of there songs are in story form so it just brings everyone together :D each album is like a new chapter

  • @temporarilynocturnal it's pretty mainstream

  • @infectedcalf since when has 236 thousand views on a site where justin beiber videos have 700 million views mainstream?

  • @zulok1337 and all justin beibers fans are girls who like HIM not his music, they are brain washed by his looks so they think they like his music but they dont. Coheed is sexy and has a wide variety of fans

  • @zulok1337 I've seen their poster at HMV. They've made it. It's too bad, cause I liked being the only one who knew about them.

  • @infectedcalf hmv?

  • i love the song :D btw:

the world looks better when you're falling

grace to comfort enough to crawling

divided we must pray for the broken

    no one can fix us

we are, we'll always be the wronged

  • What, am I gay? That picture fuckin' owns!

  • Comment removed

  • i personLLY think that each album resembles the story their telling. this one is different cause it has a lot more personal stuff in it. alot of people die in this story and its a fucking war!!! i mean its going to sound epic and over produced who cares?! its how the story is.

GAIBS4:FTEOM- its all dreamy like cause its the writing writers view!

  • All this talk of selling out. Can't a band change their style from album to album without being labelled as such. This album is very different, but sill f*ckin awesome!

  • So far i only like Welcome Home its sad T~T

  • @razorflame45 You have to listen to more mainstream stuff first like a favor house atlantic, blood red summer, and just keep listening to different songs then all of a sudden you cant listen to any other music because of the raw talent they posses

  • @osostewie2 The first song I heard was The Suffering. But I didnt really get into the band until I heard In Keeping Secrets. When I first heard The Suffering, I was like wtf. Is that a chick? This shits gay. Then I heard IKSOSE and then I was like omg this shit is epic!

  • For fuck sake people, people can love bands and not like every song they have done, it just means they dont like them songs, I love bring me the horizon, but their new album is fucking terrible

just cos someones opinion on certain songs, or even a full album is thinking its shit, doesnt mean you love the band any less than before, just the material they produce, so shut up for god sake, its like all this true fan bollocks,

What true fans really do, is support, not like everything by default

  • why did they go "cheap" with the volume during the solo? The faster one not the solo towards the end of the song

  • Comment removed

  • then u dont love coheed faggot aaron

  • i get an odd fall of troy vibe from this song

  • @Aaronlm91 If you say you love Coheed and don't like all of YOTBR, then you don't love Coheed now do you?

  • Rainbow in the dark?Where did I hear that before?...........

  • @mummyboyz The Dio song.haha

  • I love coheed, but this album kinda sucks :( theres only five or six songs that I enjoy on it.

  • AVE

  • i've been a fan for quite sometime (i saw them in nyack in 7th grade when they were called shabutie)...but honestly, this is the best song they've ever written.

as much as pennie's departure from dillinger depressed me, his contributions to this record are absolutely extraordinary.

  • favorite band.

  • YES YES YES THEY ARE BACK!!!

  • AWESOME! IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A NEW SONG!

  • @shawnWAX this has been out for a while..the whole album has actually......

  • @delosanator13 And it's afukinmazing!!!!!!

  • 31 people's minds are broken

  • 31 people are dumb.

  • Great song

  • Hmm i find C+C's songs really hit and miss :| quite like this one though. WE've been compared to them a couple of times, check out our first music video on our channel :)

  • dat ass

  • The center of that sign looks oddly similar to an asshole...

  • This is one band that I both love and hate. They either blow my mind like WELCOME HOME (and lets face it, anytime that band writes a song THAT amazing then they are not going to repeat it) and this song, but then there is some real suck on the cds.

    Very odd.

    Sam

  • @samfrompasingtime They play a HUGE range of music. Very few people are going to like everything they write. You are not weird for that.

  • YES the boys are back, look out sterio speakers your going to get violated again!!!!!

  • this song is awsome i need this album soon ^_^

  • Seriously, shut the fuck up and enjoy the music. If you don't like it then get the hell off the link and don't comment on it. ._.

  • el que dice no em gusta que me chupe la pelotaaa pingaoo rktm

  • it's like maroon5 meets mordred meets kingsx meets mychemicalromance meets mud. I pity you fools.

  • Oh yeah. Coheed & Cambria. Proving once again your weak and pathetic concepts of music and genre are as meaningless as Justin Bieber's CSI role.

  • ...so, kurtanlgerox- official tard-_- My best gues would be he's an 2d kinda person, so sad..

  • @TimmyMcD86 Uhhh... okay? Someone called them sellouts.. well...yeah nevermind. You're just an idiot.

  • @KurtAngleRox Coheed and Cambria are not sellouts, Kurt Angle is a fucking sellout you dumbass, fake ass wrestling watching bitch...

  • " Coheed and Cambria are sell outs"... sorry you found out about them from Welcome Home on a stupid plastic guitar game.

  • @KurtAngleRox To be honest so did I but they are pretty immence, so I downloaded the other songs :D

  • @Metaphist They are a great band.

  • @KurtAngleRox go watch some wrestling winner!

  • @jeffclarkemusic Why are we all yelling at him. I may be the greatest COHEED AND CAMBRIA fans, and all he is is a troll who wants attention. Coheed and Cambria is the greatest band, and reading the amory wars makes it even better. So i don't even bother with trolls, that doesn't mean that Coheed and Cambria isn't the greatest band ever in my eyes.

  • @bloodyroadahead Oh Dear me!!Did you say that Coheed is number 1!?!?!No my dearest Coheed takes the number two slot...The Holy Trinity of Rock comes from Willowdale!!!my friend do please give homage to the greatest band ever!!!42 yrs and going on stronger than ever!!!I do rest my case!!

  • @bloodyroadahead Uhh what? Lol Okay...?

  • @jeffclarkemusic Sorry.. what?

  • @KurtAngleRox Oh, but i didn't find them on Rock Band, and i would prefer you didn't jump to conclusions about people who listen to great bands.

  • @bloodyroadahead It's happened though... so.. yeah...

  • Looking at how many people disliked the video and making some comment about "so and so many people are..." had been done many many times. It's not witty anymore, so please refrain from doing it

  • @Jdcie Comments made about comments being made about the amount of dislikes have been done so many times so please refrain from making them

  • @14virtues ...

  • @Jdcie I know, confusing isn't it =)

  • @14virtues Haha yes! Corn flakes my good sir!

  • @Jdcie I love you already =). Your comments are full of WIN!

  • To find it we must pray for the broken world to fix us!

  • i think this should be Halo Reach's theme song

  • @bmang3000 lol if only bungie would... :P

  • @bmang3000 It can be via CD downloading and in-game music player.

  • @bmang3000 i think you should get a life

  • @bmang3000 yeahh this along with machine head's Halo which is equally awesome!

  • @Maggotz555666 I remember when the blackening came out, that was probably my favorite song on the entire album

  • @bmang3000

no its fits better whit the Organization 13

  • @bmang3000 ew no that would make this song suck

  • @bmang3000

I'd disagree, but Reach's main theme is weak compared to previous main themes in the Halo series. Everything else, awesome though.

ODST though, I don't even care which part's the main theme. Best, period.

  • @bmang3000 halo is gay coheed is awesome so dont ever say that again

  • @bmang3000 something this epic should not be mixed with halo

  • 28 people are the Wrong

  • one this album rocks. two its the same sound as no world for tomarrow so fuck off

  • bleh

  • No way coheed are sell outs... this song and far sounds exactly like the stuff off of Apollo and pearl of the stars is from the roots to. they wont ever sell out. nuff said

  • @bradheezy i agree completely. Generally, if someone crafts songs into masterpieces and writes novels about the journey of its protagonists, it means they care a bit too much about what they do to "sell out".

  • @bradheezy i hate to destroy your optimism but every band sells out eventually. its sad but true.

  • @CheckDisRiff This is true. But, selling out doesn't always make the band terrible.

  • @CheckDisRiff counter-argument: the band RUSH! ALL HAIL! they never sold out, although I don't much care for their 80's work. However, that's not because of selling out or anything, it's just that Geddy Lee decided he really liked using synths :(

  • @CheckDisRiff Pretty sure Nirvana never sold out.

  • @bradheezy They aren't sell outs, but their fame has gotten them into the clutches of pushy producers. Atticus Ross did such a botched job on Year of the Black Rainbow that you could barely hear the music under the production effects. But I don't really agree with your saying that this sounds like it belongs on Apollo, unless you mean NWFT. Most elements of prog rock have disappeared from Coheed's sound in the last two albums.

  • @bradheezy It's all good and they aren't sell outs, but if you think this sounds like Good Apollo you are on some strong crack.

  • @bradheezy Bleh, totally an opinion. Everything everyone has to say is an opinion. I like to think of it like this... Coheed kind of created their own little weirdo genre of awesome rock music, fuel for the rockers soul and in any case, Johnny Depp for instance has a really intense way of acting out characters that have that weirdo Johnny Depp feel to them. So I guess its a matter of opinion who's really good at what their doing or who's really good at doing the same thing over and over again.

  • @bradheezy i don't even see how somebody could consider them sell outs when they had songs like devil in jersey city and blood red summer from the beginning

  • I don't think their sellouts, but they definitely don't sound as good as before imo.

  • Oh~

  • Attention everyone: I apologise deeply for making it sound like I thought that they were becoming mainstream. I do not, nor would I care, nor would I want to care. However, the correct explanation of this song in my opinion is that they're changing. And sure, people dislike that. I don't. It just means that they're different, that there's something new to listen to. It is a good song, I just took a while to get into it.

  • Ugh how can they write 4 absolutely mind-boggling albums, and then finish with something this terrible. This album was incredibly disappointing at best. Coheed had a knack for being absolutely unpredictable with each release, and then came YOTBR. I'm sorry but this is one sad attempt at an album, I don't see why everyone thinks it's worth listening to. (Let the hate mail begin)

  • @jeremynevarez16 This album is better than No World For Tomorrow. Also, this song is incredible, great musicianship, lyrics, and vocals. <
