@ddadanceforce Actually, from our experience, putting the decoy 25-30 yds upwind of your stand facing you is the best method. Reason being, as a buck comes in to investigate the decoy 9 out of 10 times they will approach the head of the buck decoy. This in turn will give you the perfect broadside shot. Using a doe decoy is opposite though. Face the doe decoy away from you as the buck will usually approach the rear once again presenting the broadside shot.
@njduquette We highly recommend the Big Boss Buck from Flambeau. Not sure were your hunting but here in Ohio the last weekend in Oct is on fire for decoy use. Definitely put them up wind of you, 25 yds is a good range, and like you said have them facing you if your using a buck decoy. The buck coming in to investigate will 9 out of 10 tens circle towards the head of the decoy offering you a broadside shot. If your using a doe decoy then have her facing away from you.
@libertymediagroupllc thanks i didnt even think to have the doe facing away. i hunt the south west portion of NY just north of Bradford PA. the big boss is way too big for the deer in that area i was thinking the carry lite decoy which is a little smaller and less intimidating to other deer. im not sure if the antlers are removable on that one or not i still have to research and shop around. the last week of october/first week of november is always the prime rut where i hunt. thanks again
Stop putting this music in all the time, would make a much better video. In the woods nobody plays any music, when the shot happens. Although not as bad as the bad guitar riffs usually used in outdoor videos.....
Love the last video and like this one also keep up the good work.I shot a 150 class last year in NW Ohio but don't have anyone to film for me when I bow hunt, your lucky to have a good camera man.
Now that's good stuff right there! Thanks for sharing!

just a tip dont put your decoy facing your stand because some times the buck will come around to see what the decoy is looking at and bust you.
