man i am very upset about this. it sucks that truly great developers like you at renegade kid, that actually want this innovative, original games to be made, get forced not to. it pisses me off with gaming these days. not enough originality.
Moon is great, I really enjoyed that game. And about Dementium, I played the first one and boy, I want it! Unfortunately I haven't found it here in any of the videogame stores.
Just finished Moon 2nd time round, on Veteran. One of the best FPSs ever - what a great story, gameplay, level design, overall presentation & polish. It's been a LONG, LONG time since i finished a game & immediately went back & started playing it over again.
I'm always on the lookout for unique, original titles such as this gem and will not hesitate to buy them to show my support.

I find it sad that publishers will put money into releasing games based on movies, even though many of them are very very bad games. But the fact that they can't look at each game individually and choose the one's which are great over the one's that are bad regardless if it's got a previous fan base already or not!
I think as gamers become more adapted to online game forums about new original games, we'll see a higher demand for quality oringinal games. i cant wait.

Yeah sure, I would say I have pirated games, but only to test the game or if the game is unavailable. The game developers that create games on multiplatforms (psp, ds, ps3 etc..) they earn alot of money anyway and sells alot of copies of their game. But for developers that only create games for one platform like the ds, I'd support by buying the origin.

My idea is that you should make another survival horror game for the ds. Running with Dementiums engine, you should make something like clocktower, with a human murderer with a knife or something chasing you through a house. Clocktower is really the only game that has done that, any MANY people would want to try it out!
Dementium's Engine Is A FPS Engine, While Clocktower Type Things Tend To Run 3rd Person... It Would Up The Scares In First-Person, But One Killer Wouldn't Be As Scary... And It Would Be 3-6 Hours Like The Other Dementium Stuff.

I saw a video of Dementium II just a bit ago and it really made me want to go out and get a new DS so I can play some of these games again. Glad to see someone is trying to get some great new games made

The lack of new original games on Nintendo platforms is really holding them back.
Microsoft seems to be the ones who take the most risk in new games, XBLA releases of indie games are showing up more and more now and doing pretty well since they've been able to find the market of people who buy and enjoy them.
Nintendo really needs to up the ante, their first party franchises can't last forever.

It's sort of difficult to support console quality games (3D) on a handheld. I bought Moon and am looking forward to Max and Dementium 2. I love your games but I think the PSP market sort of proved that people like simpler more "portable friendly" titles. I'm really sad about the fact that there's no chance of seeing your Dracula game on Wii, but I'd settle for the DS version. So, yes I support you. I don't know about my friends though as they typically find these petitions silly.

DS should have all developers putting nearly all of their efforts into it. It is not only one of if not the most successful platform ever but it reached that height without much new quality. That shows its rate of return must be greater than other hardware, which shows WE THE PEOPLE want games for DS. From every developer in the world. And we want them to use its features competitively.
The DS has become probably my favorite system of all time, and it's because of the FUN games it has. The games made by Jool are easily some of the best and I welcome any more new IPs they can come up with. I wish there were more like you!
I hope game publishers open up to support original, and Mature, games on both the Wii and DS! I've enjoyed games like Moon, House of the Dead Overkill, and Dead Space Extraction. Those are the kind of games that keep me on the Wii and DS platform.
I'm sorry, but I hated Moon. The gameplay was boring, the bosses were recycled throughout the game, and the ending didn't reveal ANYTHING. But still, I'm buying Dementium II, if it improves on some of the problems that Moon had.
I am tired of shovelware on the DS, but I am also tired of the SAME old games. Dementium was an original game, but the save system was terrible and I could not keep playing a game like that. Hope Dementium II fixes that, or else I'm giving up on the series completely.

I made a youtube account solely to support renegade kid in specific and original video games in general. Dementium : the Ward was a graphically amazing, atmospheric masterpiece. Moon was astounding, a step up from everything it's predecessor Dementium accomplished. Now I'm really stoked to buy Dementium 2! The Ds should be our portible N64 Like with games like that or old arcade games would be great. I mean look at mario 64 ds. That was a huge and STILL seller. Now only if they reamde more N64 games. Because it had better grafics than the N64 verison. Also reworking them with 4 player Co-op would be great to!
There's way to much crap out on the DS that is a TV spin off, what blows my mind is that it sells well.
What I want pesonally is some non fluffy great stylised progamming with a great story, preferably catering for the adult market, there are far few 18 certificate games on the DS.

When I take a look to the DS games I bought, I do not see any license-title like a game to a movie or similar.. I'm from Europe and bought half of my games from USA, because I couldn't wait for them..
Examples are Dementium, Moon, Metroid Prime Hutners, C.O.R.E., in addition I own Super Mario 64 DS, Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars, Wario Ware Touched, which all are really good in my opinion.. I wish there were more of these, there are just too many thousands of "crappy"! games out there..

The thing is, there IS a viable market in original QUALITY games on the DS and Wii. But since there are so few of those games...well...they kind of get swallowed up in the shovelware.

It's a pity that video games seldomly get a second wind as far as sales go via any possible slowly bubbling popularity over the years like many retro games do. Games are very 'of the moment' unlike film and TV, which get better with age a lot of the time, and often gain a cult status/following.
Looking forward to Dementium 2 though mate. Hope you get minted from that game, you definitely deserve it ;-)

Some of my favorite games for the DS were original games like Henry Hatsworth, Trauma Center and The World Ends With You. I've recommend them all to people I think might get them.
Another thing to consider for publishers: There's a lot of piracy on the DS, and I would guess that those who pirate but still buy games would be more likely to buy a game that's not licensed or based on an established franchise because they realise they need to support it to get more, as opposed to a 15th mario game.
The Ds is capable of so much, yet the publisher only want the most uninspired franchise games. The Ds could do x-com like games, system shock(Not it's stupid pretty relative xboy Bioshock!) inspired games, or classic pc style rpgs. I certainly support non-franchise games.
WIsh you luck in the near future. And also please publishers, support such fine folks that put a lot of efforts in giving the players games which are among the most impressives for the DS. We want games like that !
No longer the owner of a DS here, but would certainly recommend the your games to DS owners, if there all anything like Moon which I did play and enjoy :)

All of Renegade Kids titles have been only on the DS so far. I'd like to see them branch out but still produce DS games. A publisher might be interested in more original type games if they appeared on not just one platform.

Yes theres crap on the ds like 3rd party japenses or games based on kid moives that suck.
The Ds should be our portible N64 Like with games like that or old arcade games would be great. I mean look at mario 64 ds. That was a huge and STILL seller. Now only if they reamde more N64 games. Because it had better grafics than the N64 verison. Also reworking them with 4 player Co-op would be great to!

There's way to much crap out on the DS that is a TV spin off, what blows my mind is that it sells well.
What I want pesonally is some non fluffy great stylised progamming with a great story, preferably catering for the adult market, there are far few 18 certificate games on the DS.

When I take a look to the DS games I bought, I do not see any license-title like a game to a movie or similar.. I'm from Europe and bought half of my games from USA, because I couldn't wait for them..
Examples are Dementium, Moon, Metroid Prime Hutners, C.O.R.E., in addition I own Super Mario 64 DS, Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars, Wario Ware Touched, which all are really good in my opinion.. I wish there were more of these, there are just too many thousands of "crappy"! games out there..

...Hmph, so the publishers are essentially locking out original games, huh? That SUCKS.
The thing is, there IS a viable market in original QUALITY games on the DS and Wii. But since there are so few of those games...well...they kind of get swallowed up in the shovelware.
Anyway, case in point, I am buying Dementium 2 on release day. And I'd BUY that "maximilian" game. ...And I don't buy games lightly. If I BUY a game, it has to REALLY impress me. which your stuff does. Good luck!

Btw, I love Moon. I played thought it and loved it and now I'm playing though it again on veteran with the music turned off to give the game a slightly different atmosphere.

It's a pity that video games seldomly get a second wind as far as sales go via any possible slowly bubbling popularity over the years like many retro games do. Games are very 'of the moment' unlike film and TV, which get better with age a lot of the time, and often gain a cult status/following.
Looking forward to Dementium 2 though mate. Hope you get minted from that game, you definitely deserve it ;-)

Some of my favorite games for the DS were original games like Henry Hatsworth, Trauma Center and The World Ends With You. I've recommend them all to people I think might get them.
Another thing to consider for publishers: There's a lot of piracy on the DS, and I would guess that those who pirate but still buy games would be more likely to buy a game that's not licensed or based on an established franchise because they realise they need to support it to get more, as opposed to a 15th mario game.

The Ds is capable of so much, yet the publisher only want the most uninspired franchise games. The Ds could do x-com like games, system shock(Not it's stupid pretty relative xboy Bioshock!) inspired games, or classic pc style rpgs. I certainly support non-franchise games.

All of Renegade Kids titles have been only on the DS so far. I'd like to see them branch out but still produce DS games. A publisher might be interested in more original type games if they appeared on not just one platform.
