I don't think copywrite law would allow him though. As much as I would love him to, I think it's illegal to profit off of things like this. If someone could prove me wrong please do, I'd love to be proven wrong on this case.
No, you're right, however the attitude towards copyright laws in Japan, which are similar to ours, is more lax because there's so much copyright infringement that there just aren't enough layers to handle things other than large important cases.
