@loveja1 The tour of the Biltmore is well worth the time. The craftsman ship in this house is unsurpassed. George Vanderbilt imported craftsmen from all over the world, built a railroad to bring supplies to the site, and built Biltmore village to house all the workers on his estate. The gardens were designed by the landscape architect who designed Central Park in NYC. The mansion has been lovingly restored with much of the original furniture and accessories. Worth a trip to Ashville, NC!
I love Biltmore and visit the estate several times a year. I would recommend adding the rooftop/ 4th floor tour to anyone. I would suggest it be on a separate trip from the whole house tour as it is too long to do both together. But absolutely worth it!!
@clhough I didnt say that really It was kinda Scary until i got Use too it....

It is the largest home in america and was built by the Vanderbilts at the turn of the century.
its a castle with acreage that was supposed to have everything that was needed grown on the property.
sadly it lacked a brothel
