Second, I doubt he will get all the money he's pouring into Ethiopia in his life time. My guess is he won't get back the massive investment he is putting into Ethiopia in his life time. This industrious, intelligent, generous and patriotic person has done miraclous deeds for ETHIOPIA. Heart center, schools, cultural institutes, sport events, buildings... He provided tens of thousands with jobs, gave scholarships for promising youth (sole condition: come back home when you're finished with studies). Not at all! It is part of today's system to invest and gain some in return. What I was referring is why do we have to see him as someone special. It is like saying all American investor in China or Congo bloody diamond are saint. I do appreciate his courage to invest in our country. That is a good will, and also a smart move to jackpot the resource. My point is to profit is normal but to see him as if he is some sort of savior is what I do honestly object. I hope Mr al-amoudi continues his philanthropy

work, and it would be the icing in the cake for Ethiopia, all the poor in the world, and his legacy in the history books if he decides to set up a philanthropist foundation like the 'Bill and Melinda gates foundation' and gradually pass on the majourity of his wealth back into society, building schools, hospitals, universities educating people and saving lives. He is an example of success to us all and may he inspire many many more!!!

Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi is an inspirational person to me. He wen't to a foreign country as a broke man and he created an enterprise that both he and his country is benefiting from. He must have excellent leadership/management skills, and realising that he has amost tripled his wealth in the last 6years or so, he has excellent judgement/strategical skills. I hope he expands his companies in Ethiopia, which will mean more money in the economy and more job creation

Well I can say this now, after watching this documentary and listening to the testimonials, althought it might seem bias,it is certain that he has def. changed a lot of ppl's lives!!! He was born to a Yemeni Father who had the last name Alamudi and a Ethiopean Mother. My family is decendant from his lineage. My name is Samira Mohamed Haji Abukar Alamudi hehe :P

My Dad's uncle works for him in Saudi Arabia. This man is great to his ppl and my father told me he looks for ppl from his lineage to give professional work to, esp the women. So gals work hard in school and inshallah become good-hearted like Sheikh Alamudi.

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't it be beneficial for Ethiopia to have these tangible assets back to their country so that they can contribute to their country somehow. Perhaps, creating sort of a channel that could encourage those who are eager to do something good but don't know how or where to start. I am trying my best so far but not there yet.

He is not only Ethiopean...dont forget that his Father was Yemeni and his mother was Ethiopean. Most ppl here r only rep. his mothers side , but he carries the name of his father who is a Yemeni. Sheikh Mohammed is a living saint and he deserves the sainthood recognition NOW.

What is the process of sainthood in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church anyways? We have so many saints, whom we don't even know what they did and how they achieved the sainthood. It is time we go back and investigate the deeds of all saints. If there is not tangible evidence of miracle or good deeds... we need to demote them to priesthood.
