Dan Monahan from Porky's was in The Night Flier,Miguel reminds me of Lance Henriksen, where he plays a great bad guy.The Haunting was good.I hated the remake. That Candyman film you have there looks like a film trailer that they put in the beginning of movies.

Very cool holographic cover on Misery. I've never seen that edition before. Lack of proper disc art on more recent dvd releases has me clenching my fist at dvd distribution companies. As for the rest of the films you discussed, I have yet to see them. Thanks for suggesting more films I have yet to see.
@Absolutsublime1 Great Update Jay! Mosquito sounds fun. I love cheesy low budget movies. Have you shown a video with a overview of your whole collection?
Hey, how are you? I did one when I first started making videos on here but my collection has doubled since then, I need to make another collection overview soon.
@Absolutsublime1 I'm doing good Hope you are. I will go back and look at your collection. I know mine keeps doubling too.. lol.. No one understands but the ones that are like us. Take care!
Hi Man, I have the Night Flier also and mine is NOT a "snapper box" as your is. Maybe the region 2 (UK) edition is different as I'm from the UK lol! Great pickups, I look forward to your next vid...
Ohhh! You got some good ones here. I love "Ils." The French original is so good, and I also didn't care for "The Strangers." "The Haunting" is still great, definitely better than the bells-and-whistles remake. The best films don't have a million-dollar budget behind them. Great vid. Stung in the butt, haha!
I Think I Speak For everyone When I Say I Forgive You for The Editing :P , I Love Your Videos, Keep Up The Good Work Man!! (: Oh Yeah And If You Haven't Already, I Recommend You To Watch Kidulthood And Adulthood (:
some fun pick ups the haunting is one of my favorites. just a very atmospheric and great acting. night flier was also enjoyable. mosq looks up my alley if i find it cheap enuff. seeing gunner next month at chiller so that may hold me over.
Cool, thanks for the shoutout man! What you have there is a trailer reel for Candyman. It was never shown, otherwise the seal would be broken. So if you had a 35mm projector, yes you could thread it and run it (it would be it's maiden voyage). Gino! Neither one of us has put any of those on ebay. Please send me a link. Thanks again, and great vid!!
Thanks so much for the trailer , it's awesome and I love the movie and never had anything like that before so definitely a cool addition to my collection, my appreciated my friend. I really enjoy your channel and always look forward to your videos. I will check to see if I can find the auction , not sure if it is still up or not.
Just pm'ed you the link to the seller's store, seems to be the same Gino as the seller is from South Cackalacka as well. The Star Wars trilogy looks pretty cool, tempted to bid on that one myself.
The Haunting...one of the greatest classic ghost stories ever produced! Mosquito was a pretty poor b movie but at least it made me laugh, especially the bite in the butt.lol
I dig that cover for Misery! Mosquito looks like it might haven been fun cheese if there were more mosquitos!! I really liked The Night Flier! I wish it would have shown him more! He looked cool as hell! Nice vid man!
The Haunting! :D Love that movie! I read the book the movie was based on, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the movie. It really shows that the Haunting was not only a truly effective horror movie, but one of the best adaptations of a book ever!
Because it's out of print meaning they no longer make the dvd and it's out of distribution and no stores sell it, so whenever that happens people on amazon or ebay usually jack up the price because it's out of print, I think it's ridiculous personally. It certainly is not worth that much money.
seen THEM , it was pretty good - , personally I thought THE STRANGERS was alot better , more creepier in my oppinion , with a better ending too , gotta say about THEM when we found out the age of the offenders , it made the movie less scary / creepy to me , yeah seen GUNNER HANSEN recently in THE REYKAVIC WHALE WATCHING BOAT MASSACRE ( it was called something like that ) , thought it was a bit of a let down too
Agreed, impressive performance by Kathy bates. I will check out your last vid tonight, I need to catch up on a few posts on here. I really want to see The Horde, no US release yet, I think I'll have to import the dvd.
French horror is definitely kicking butt lately!
Thanks for the comment my friend, hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Awesome update Jay =) I have seen Mosquito few years ago, don't remember anymore how bad/good it was, i could still get it from local second hand store for 5 euros, it's been on the shelf at least 2 years. Guess nobody want to buy it lol. That Misery dvd cover looks really cool. The Haunting (1963) i definitely have to get on dvd.
I loved The Haunting. Classic, atmospheric ghost movie. Actually came on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) the other day. Great stuff! The remake from 1999 was decent, but this one is way better.
That's real cool you got a Candyman trailer. That's real awesome of him to do that for you!
I've seen parts of Night Flier and the part I remember the most is where Miguel Ferrer is taking pictures and seeing all the dead bodies at the Airport. I never seen Misery, but I have seen parts of it on the 100 Greatest Scariest Movies and Rob Reiner talks about how he did the whole sledgehammer with the foot scene. I also seen parts of Mosquito and I seen the car chase with the RV with the mosquitoes and I thought it was pretty decent and I also seen the part where he picks up the...
I loved THEM ... MUCH better than The Strangers, i totally agree ... some great films, i loved Misery too ... and a very interesting little film reel you have there
Great update mate, I haven't seen the original Haunting but have seen the 1999 version. The Night Flier is one I use to see on the shelf but never picked up as most reviews said it was just ok, I will have to see if I can find it and give it a go.
How do you hold your dvds? Do you keep them in their cases or do you have dvd books?
I am really into movies and collecting dvds, I like having them in my dvd book because If i take them anywhere i dont have a huge amont of cases. But I am afraid I am scratching the dvds when i pull them out to watch them.
I watched Them and The Strangers around the same time and The Stranger had some great moments but yeah Them was a tad bit better for me, and the ending was awesome for Them
Thanks, The Strangers was a big let down for me personally. I remember how excited I was by the trailers and seeing it and just really disappointed me.
I feel as though Them is vastly superior , and the ending was great for Them.
I just didn't feel the same tension from The Strangers as I did with Them and the ending really set the two apart for me.
Thanks for the comment and hope you had a great weekend.
Misery was great... But the book was FANTASTIC.. Some great character development.. Great shoutout too.. they have a great channel for sure... Nice update :)
Miz! Definitely the books are nearly always better with only a few exceptions.
I always try not to compare the two personally.
Thanks for the comment my friend. How have you been? You took a little break on here it seemed like. Glad to see you posting again! Always look forward to your amazing videos and drool over your top notch collection!

do not know the third one but have heard of it..nice :D
I love the original Haunting!! It has that feeling like you are almost in the house with them! Dude, I love the Night Flier, too!! I don't think it gets enough credit and is kinda over-looked for some reason.
That's a 35mm theatrical film trailer for Candyman! I got a few of those too, very cool to pickup of your favorite movies. Cackylacky is great! Haha!
Lori, I knew you would know about the film reel :p Thanks for the comment.
I love the original Haunting too and totally agree it feels like you are there with them,
I feel like not many movies these days have that aspect.
Yes! I thought I was the only one who loved the Night Flier! I always hear people crap on it but I thought it was awesome. It definitely doesn't get enough credit!
Great video, as usual! The Night Flier really surprised me! It was very good! And The Haunting is indeed a wonderful classic, much better than Jan de Bont's remake!
Awesome man! I will have to check these movies out...I've been on a huge horror movies kick lately. What did you think of thrillers like The Last House on the Left, Broken and Midnight Meat Train???
Thanks, I love horror movies in general but with Halloween coming up I feel like everyone is on a horror movie kick lately :p and rightfully so!
I actually haven't seen Broken yet. I think Midnight Meat Train was very well done and creepy, very underrated , I really liked the twist at the end and the creatures too. What were your thoughts on it?
@Absolutsublime1 Oh man, you gotta see Broken! Very disturbing. I thought Midnight Meat Train was different but good . I think they over did it with the blood though lol...I'm gonna do a quick horror movie collection in about a week
Great update Jay some nice dvds in this video..The Night Flier is a great film imo some decent scenes with great atmosphere..I agree about french horror at the moment they're certainly producing some fantastic films..Have you seen a new french horror called La Horde its very good..That film reel you got it looks like the trailer reel for Candyman..
I did, I just wanted to say what I thought of it and what I thought of it compared to The Strangers. In my previous update where I showed I had picked it up, I hadn't watched it yet.
@Absolutsublime1 Not really. I have been on youtube for like an hour trying to figure out what to do lol. I saw one of the videos from last weeks video. It was the one you called the good ghost story. Cant remember the name. It is about a mother and her 2 children who are allergic to light then they find out at the end they are dead. Great movie. I would give it 7 out of 10 maybe 8.
@Absolutsublime1 Oh and also I don't think it is out yet but I saw this movie trailer for a movie called "Let me in" and I think it might be like a remake of let the right one in. I don't know for sure though.
Nice reviews! I love The Night Flier... awesome movie. That film reel is really cool. Nice collectible.
I'd love to get a copy of Mosquito despite the generous 4 out of 10 rating... just for the fact that it's rare and OOP. Plus the death scenes you mentioned sound interesting.

@ballinnick1982
Absolutsublime1 1 year ago
@Absolutsublime1 Oh man, you gotta see Broken! Very disturbing. I thought Midnight Meat Train was different but good . I think they over did it with the blood though lol...I'm gonna do a quick horror movie collection in about a week

I thought you put Them in the last video?
diablo9333 1 year ago
@diablo9333
I did, I just wanted to say what I thought of it and what I thought of it compared to The Strangers. In my previous update where I showed I had picked it up, I hadn't watched it yet.
How have you been? Any fun plans for the weekend?
Absolutsublime1 1 year ago
@Absolutsublime1 Not really. I have been on youtube for like an hour trying to figure out what to do lol. I saw one of the videos from last weeks video. It was the one you called the good ghost story. Cant remember the name. It is about a mother and her 2 children who are allergic to light then they find out at the end they are dead. Great movie. I would give it 7 out of 10 maybe 8.

You'll figure it out, you always come up with cool ideas for your videos!
You're awesome with the computer and howto videos!
The Others? For me it is one of my all time favorite Ghost Story movies.
I'm glad you liked it.

@Absolutsublime1 Yeah that one. Loved it. You should make a video on your favorite movies right now(kinda like the top songs one).

Great vid!
