you dont rly need the second disc. unless you want to play the MSX versions of MG1,2, or Snake vs Monkey. MGO1 went offline a few years ago. if u want MGO2 get MGS4 on PS3

disc 2 doesn't come with the essentail collection but I recommend you get it because you can get extra camos and play Metal Gear 1 and 2 on the disc 2

if you buy Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence alone you will get disc 1 and 2

i dunno. it wasnt that good unless you used it on a sniper or AFK person. we personaly liked the M63 or the RPG-7. theres normaly only one uniqw weapon on each map at a time but the red berets(my clan) and i figured out how to clone weapons. sorry on the flamethrower video, Konami shut down the servers for MGO on MGS4

Dont worry too much, theres a petition/fourm/webstite going around called Save MGO i think thats dedicated to brining a few servers back through Konami or getting permission to run their own, effectively bringing the original MGo back!

Man , watching this, and than recently playing the MGO#2 beta, before next months release, damn is all i can say, the new one has mixed reviews, but my opinion(and everyone has one) is why did they have to change so much from the original, if you never played the first than the new one, well, you might like it , but for me theres a reason its called MGO#2 , its a big wet turd!

If you didn't get MGS, MGS2 Substance, or MGS3 Subsistence. Then yeah. I had to pass because I got all of them already and it offered nothing new besides packaging. If MGS was ported to a PS2 disc I would have gotten it, but I have seen that it is just a reprint of the PS1 disc.

From what I have gathered it is not included with the new essential collection. It has a lot of bonus videos, MGO (Not working anymore), and the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 MSX games. It's not needed to enjoy the game but it's a nice extra's disc.
