Make no mistake, this guy was one in a million and an inspiration too many. From housing commision to world fame. Good on ya mate, will never forget you buddy. R.I.P

  • Alan passed away just before sunrise today, Sunday 24 February 2008

  • The species of Bloodwood used in the making of this didjeridu (yidaki) by Alan's grandfather seems to have become extinct. Alan's instrument was indeed made over 100 years ago. Unfortunately it was stolen several years ago and may have been taken out of Australia. This is a huge loss to Alan and Indigenous heritage in general. If any one knows of its whereabouts, please let Alan know.

  • dij is not a 100year old instrument!!! WTF! it figures into the Aboriginal Mythology from their Creation Story!!! and that is older than 100 years!! maybe that guy meant that the instrument that alan plays is 100y.o.?

  • he meant the particular sticks he had
