She's not really in tune here but then again, this song isn't fit for her voice at all. Also, there are very few artists who can mesh well with Park Hyo Shin as he has a really really unique voice. One of the best in Korea actually. Anyway, Taeyeon is a good singer except this song isn't suited for her. Not to mention together with Park Hyo Shin (who is the original Korean singer of this song), it's obvious she can't quite compare.

Wow, this song has quite a large range in the high and low key notes especially for Taeyeon. But i think she's doing pretty good and stable. Although it can be improved in some areas, you can hear that her tone is still good. @cereaxx You have to admit it though. She didn't do justice to this song at all. Actually, it was kind of painful to hear her try to hit those high notes and miss. Taeyeon IS A GOOD singer, one of the best in the idol but that doesn't mean she is suited for every single song. She has improved but this song is not suited for her at all. She was really struggling to find the right tone here. Not to mention she is singing with one of Korea's greatest singers, obviously she can't compare.

Also, he added that the man's range of voice is different than the woman's range of voice, and the song itself had wide range of pitch. As a result, it wasn't easy for both to be satisfied with their duet.

Taeyeon was not as bad as everyone's been saying. She sings so high but I can barely hear her 'cause Hyoshin is singing so low...it's like a bee is humming in the background. They'd destroy this song (in a good way) if they sang solo, but together, it sounds like a mess :/

I´ve seen Taeyeon perform solo 5 times on various shows and none of the times did she convince me. What I don´t really get is why she is praised for her vocals so much. From what i observed Taeyeon actually tried to change her tone to suit the PHS deep voice which is kinda fail to me. But i think PHS himself sad that it's hard match with his deep sorrow voice. Though personally i think Taeyeon should use her higher tone in, i dunno why she choose to sing in low note. But still i believe she can sing this song if it was solo. She can sing duet but not this song, not with PHS. Their voices are just not match with each other.

I don't think the problem was just that she chose to sing notes that low. She was iffy when she went high, too. She'd go too high or sound like she was about to crack when going from note to note. :31 is where she usually sings at, even w/ belting notes. I think Taeyeon lacks a broad vocal range which is why she may sound good with certain songs, but she has exceptions like this. She's not necessarily that versatile, but she's seen as consistent because she's given songs within her limited range

There are actually 2 version in this song the female version and the male version and the female version was supposed to be very high. But in the end she changed her tone to suit that of Park. I think if they sang this again it would be perfect.
